    Julian

We were asked by Bristol ARC to bring Julian into foster as he was struggling in a kennel environment and he promptly disappeared under the sofa and stayed there for a week! But once he was out and about what a little sweetheart he's become. When he finds a friend he sticks like glue, he will wrap his arms around your shoulders, give the hardest rubs and headbumps, and to show his love he has a nibble of your chin! This is never in an aggressive way, but means that he is probably best suited to a home without small children. He'd love a garden away from busy roads, needs to be an only puss and wants someone to give him lots (and we mean lots!) of cuddles. Our Velcro puss is about 6 years old, neutered, chipped and vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. He had a nasty infection/injury to his eye which had to be removed but he's absolutely fine now. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Minnie

Could she be any cuter?! Minnie is only a young puss about 3 yrs old but she doesn't seem to have been shown much affection in her life so far :( She is timid at first and will need time to settle in but then she loves a chin scratch and her head being stroked - we're still waiting for that first purr though bless her. She is very playful though so that's a good way to help her forget her fears plus she luuurves her food so bribery is easy! Minnie would love a quiet adult-only home where she can flourish and learn that laps are nice cosy places to be - at the moment she'll sit next to you but not on you and she's not keen on being picked up. She'd love a garden away from busy roads and is actually a sweet, gentle girl who just needs a chance. Spayed and off to vet soon for chip and vaccinations plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Princess & Tux

    ,
They are an odd couple but they are getting along SO much better now that Princess has stopped living under the sofa and Tux is growing up fast and getting some manners. They sleep together, travel in the cat carrier together, groom each other and keep each other company if you are out. They have a few fights too but nothing serious and Princess can stand her own. They were house cats before but now they have access to the garden which they love. Tux has only just ventured into next doors garden so quite a sweet gentle pair who are a bit naive of the local tom cat and still discovering butterflies and bugs. Princess is 100% lap cat. She's always hanging around the sofa waiting for cuddles and belly rubs. She really loves Dreamies and swallows them whole! Tux eats and eats! We have to feed Princess away from him so she has a chance before he finishes off her dinner too. He's very playful as you would expect for 10 months but not a lap cat yet. He does like to cuddle up when you are in bed and he is very affectionate and will give you lots of attention (sometimes too much!) And wake you up in the morning for breakfast with nose kisses. Both of them are loving and gentle but will be shy at first with new people. It took Princess longer than most cats to feel at home and she is undemanding and quiet (her requests are made by silent staring). My friends 7 year old was able to play with Tux for a few minutes but Princess was fairly terrified but was bribed by Dreamies to be visible. Tux can hear a Dreamies bag open from miles! Tux has a distinctive purr and always ready to play a game with you. He amuses himself too and the house is scattered with his toys.....he will ask to go out but both havent mastered the cat flap yet. He's definitely a mummys boy....he doesn't like to be far away from me whilst Princess is more likely to be on Dick and watching TV with him. You can pick them up and cuddle them, it's obvious they have been loved. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccinations plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Maise

Our beautiful Maisie has had to come back to us sadly as she just couldn't cope with the young child in her new home. Maisie was originally a farm cat who came to us to have her kittens and she turned into the most affectionate little love bug. She follows you around asking for a fuss and will flop down for cuddles. She's fine with respectful dogs but she hates other cats! She's about 3 years old and super playful and keen to explore - she was used to roaming acres of farmland before so we need a similar safe home for her now as she's not used to traffic. Plus an adult-only home this time round. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Hercules

Hercules is a tiny ginger boy who has been straying for months with no owner claiming him. Unsurprisingly he wasn't neutered or chipped...like so many sadly. He's getting used to life as a pet and learning about home comforts - he approves! He's becoming very affectionate and loves laptime and chatting to foster mum - he is pretty vocal. He does still get a bit scared though and can try to defend himself, so needs an adult-only household. Also best on his own as he is very dominant with other cats and he definitely needs a garden away from busy roads as he's desperate to go out. Hercules just needs some time to unlearn his street ways and he'll be a lovely boy. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Socks

And another lovely boy - Socks :) Socks is yet another puss where the owners moved and just left him behind on the street. He'd been living rough for 3 months when someone contacted us and now he's loving being back on a sofa again. He's about 4 yrs old and shy to begin with but oh so friendly once he knows you - he even loves being brushed! He's another who likes his food, having known what it is to be hungry. Socks is looking for a home with no young children, a garden away from busy roads and lots of love, cuddles and playtime. He'd prefer to be an only puss and have all the attention for himself. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Saladin

This 2 yr old lad is a friendly soul who loves all the attention you can give him and would be fine with children. He's super chilled and loves his food too so he's easy to win over! He arrived with a large open sore on his leg which may have been a flea allergy or possibly a burn - he's absolutely fine now but we'd recommend keeping his flea treatments up to date just in case. Needs to be an only cat in the household He'd like a garden away from busy roads as he has lots of energy and is very playful! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Pippin

Pippin is a lovely, affectionate boy. He loves being with people and will sit on your lap as soon as you sit down once he is used to you!  He is shy to begin with and would like a home with no young children but he's great with older children.
He loves playing with his toys and is great company.  Foodwise he is better with wet food as too much dried food can upset his tummy.  He has a cute habit of eating and drinking with his paw sometimes!  He's a very gentle boy but needs to be the only cat as he can be bossy to other felines. He'd love a garden away from busy roads.
Pippin is 7, neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Holly and Ivy

Holly and Ivy are an adorable duo who aren’t related but have become the best of friends and love to chase each other round playing. Ivy was very timid and Holly took her under her wing and showed her the ropes and now these besties are inseparable. Ivy is still shy and will need time to settle in but both are affectionate little purrbags now. They'll need a quieter adult-only home with a garden away from busy roads and owners who can continue to build Ivy's trust. Holly is a confident girl so it shouldn't take too long! Both are 9-10 months old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Pixie

Pixie came to us having just raised some kittens. She is so playful and a bit like a cat sized kitten.. She loves chasing her soft ball, the laser and anything that moves. She has even started to bring her softball back for me to play fetch. In the mornings she likes to wake me by pouncing on my feet and biting them, I think this is either a ploy to get me to feed her or she wants to play. Essentially she is treating me as 'One of the cats', which is sort of an honour but could be a bit a shock to the uninitiated. With a bit of non reaction and not giving her the opportunity I'm sure this can be trained out. She is due her second vaccination on the 6th of August Pixie also quite likes being picked up, but hasn't sat on my lap. She's difficult to judge, but think once she gets to know and trust her hooman will forge a strong bond and be cuddly.
  • Aimee

    ,
Meet Aimee, she was born at Christmas so is still a baby. She's super cute and has the most amazing fluffy tail and big eyes. When she first came to us, she was extremely scared but it didn't take long at all for her to trust us and suddenly her confidence grew massively. She's so adventurous and energetic. She loves to spend her time playing (especially with hair bands) and catching flies. She loves to be around people, she will follow you around and cuddle up with you, bonus points if you have a fluffy blanket! She would love a home with a safe garden, away from busy roads, to run around in and lounge in the sun. Although she's grown massively in confidence, she is sometimes startled easily so would like a home with adults and older, sensible children. She spent the first 6 months of her life with her siblings so she will be okay with other cats. She's just delightful to be around and she will brighten your day with her super loud purr and playful personality. She'll always keep you entertained; she may even show you her roly poly skills with a toilet roll! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Tiddles and Tilly

Tilly- black and white A jumpy and anxious but very loving girl. She’s a very greedy hungry cat and will steal all the food she can from the cupboard! She will sometimes hide away in the day time when she is getting to know you, but in the evening likes to sprawl across the carpet and perform for scratches and pats. She likes to sit on your lap at night time and makes a lots of biscuits. Tiddles- tabby boy Tiddles is your shadow. He will follow you around anywhere and everywhere. Always wanting to sit next to you and snuggle up at night with you on your lap. Barely ever meows! He is an old boy so doesn’t move very fast but LOVES a treat or two. These two have become close and cuddle up together in the day times snoozing. They fight for food and Tilly has been known to actively move the bowl away while Tiddles is eating. Best for a home with no children or loud noises, and lots of time to give. Tilly is 8 Tiddles tabby is 12 Both neutered chipped vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Plus Tilly has had a dental. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Make sure you read our Adopt page and complete our Adoption Application form. • Tigger

Tigger the Toyger who is looking for a very specific home. (We've never had a Toyger before and this breed is apparently a cross between a Bengal and a tabby moggy chosen specifically for their markings). Tigger is 7 and a friendly, vocal boy as befitting the Bengal. He loves attention and would happily have his face and tummy tickled all day . But, also like the Bengal, he likes to be the boss and has become very dominant with the two other elderly cats sadly and really needs to be on his own as he just does not want to share his space at all. He likes to go out in the garden and needs that open space for all that Bengal energy but he's used to a cat-fenced safe garden and has zero road sense so.. . here's the specific part - he really needs the same set up again to keep him safe or to be rehomed well away from any roads in a rural setting. He's become so stressed that he occasionally pees in the house (that should right itself once he's an only puss with no others to dominate) and his owners have tried really hard to make it work: "This is a very painful parting for us but we have tried all the usual Feliway and similar products and taken all the advice from our vet . He can go for weeks without peeing somewhere naughty and will then do it in about 2 or 3 places. He has also started to swipe at our girls. We have had him for 5 years and took him in from people we knew, who said they didn't have room for him in their small bungalow. He was fine for about 3 years. We can't work out what has happened." So this move definitely needs to be his last one! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Tigger will be rehomed direct from his current owner to save him the stress of a move into foster. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Fern

Our lovely Fern is 9 years old and was adopted a few years ago but sadly, her owners circumstances have changed and she's come back to us. She's a sweet girl, not quite a lap cat but does love a fuss, especially head strokes and tickles under her chin. She enjoys her food too! She's not a needy cat and would suit someone at work all day as she'll happily entertain herself with a potter in a safe garden or a snooze! She does have a flea allergy so needs a monthly vet- prescribed treatment plus she does get stressed by children and other animals and can overgroom so needs a nice, quiet adult-only home this time round. Neutered, chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
