Woody and Jessie
Home-from-home adoptionWe're looking for a longterm foster for these lovely cats where BWCR support with medications and vet trips. Sadly their owners' circumstances have changed hugely and they're no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years. 2 senior housecats are looking for a new home Sadly, due to a change in our circumstances, we are seeking a new home for our furry family, and the three need to remain together. They need to have company in the daytime and evenings whenever possible so they won’t be suited to someone who works away from home and goes on lots of holidays. They are strictly house cats; Woody and Jessie have been since birth. They are missing out on the company and love they need, so we want them to go to a home that can give them what they deserve for their remaining years. Ideally, someone who works from home the majority of the time or is retired. They are all fine with children, but no dogs or other cats. They are neutered, microchipped and are up to date with all their vaccinations. It is sad to have to let them go, but we feel it is in their best interest to have the full amount of love and attention we are sadly no longer able to give them. Woody (Jessie’s Brother) 16 yrs, loves company but is not a lap cat. He loves head and chin rubs, and despite being the biggest, is the most timid. Once he gets to know and love you, he will happily lie next to you on the arm of the chair and just purr, looking at you lovingly once he gets to know you. He has the biggest appetite, being the largest of the three. Jessie (Woody’s sister) 16 yrs, is a madam and sees herself as queen of the house. She will try to steal others' food by sticking her head in the lid as it is closing on the automatic feeder. She's overweight due to this, so her food needs to be limited. She can be affectionate when she wants something and does like head and chin rubs. She will sit or lie next to you and purr loudly (she has a very loud purr!) She needs painkillers in the morning (plastic syringe into mouth which she doesn't mind) due to arthritis in her back legs and lower spine, also a tablet for her joints ( powder into morning food) and one for her urinary tract (powder into her morning food). Please mail us at [email protected] if you can offer these senior kittizens their retirement home under BWCR and Fernlea vets in Hanham or Kingswood.Reggie and Norman
Foster in BristolReggie and Norman are nearly 4 yrs and are bonded brothers. They're calm, well behaved cats who are shy to begin with and just need some to settle in. Once they do, they're no trouble and a joy to look after, enjoying strokes and a good old fuss. They need a quieter home with no young children or other pets and some time to build their confidence. They love being outdoors so need a garden away from busy roads - Reggie did have an argument with a car and broke his leg, it's all healed beautifully and he's back to bouncing around but he tends to stay closer to home now! They love their food so that's always handy for a bit of bribery Neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance.Bonnie
Foster in BristolOur little Bonbon is still looking for her special person. Bonnie is a very sweet natured little floofball and has a lovely temperament, she's just a bit shy to begin and needs a little time to get to know you. She’s not a lap cat but she's definitely a head bumper and enjoys settling in next to you to watch a bit of TV or have a snooze. She becomes more active in the evenings and enjoys chasing string - not bad for a 12 year old! . She especially loves tickles on her head. She needs a quiet home plus a garden away from busy roads as she does enjoy a little potter in the fresh air. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance.Millie
Foster in BristolSpecial home needed for our shybaby Millie Dear Millie is a bit of a project puss, she's about 16 and was very scared when she first arrived. She'd originally turned up as a stray many years ago and has only known one elderly owner. She is getting bolder by the day, and jumps up on the bed (in 'her' room and mine) every morning/evening now for strokes. She's even getting used to my partner - it's like she's slowly learning how to cat! She's started to play a little when she's in the mood - she will chase/attack little leaves and bits of string and has the occasional mini zoomies. Not bad for a little old lady! She really loves strokes and snuggles too and purrs up a storm but she's always slightly wary and ready to disappear under the bed again. I'm sure that will improve with time though. She's such a lovely sweet natured puss and would love a garden away from busy roads/catio to keep her safe. She did have feline friends previously but tolerated them rather than being besties! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance. If you'd like to takeaway Miss Millie please mail us at [email protected] with your address and a contact number, thank you. :)
