Greedy Bumble

Greedy Bumble

It’s been two weeks since I took Bumble and we are still both alive lol. After a couple of days of acclimatisation Bumble has settled in just great.

She still seems to find new things to interest her but she’s definitely chosen her favourite spots around the flat and there’s no moving her when she’s decided to settle down in one.

She particularly loves the couch and I have been relegated to sitting on the floor. She’s a real minx and had me worried in the first week. She has a habit of wriggling into the most out of the way spots and then spending the day there.

One time she managed to get in behind the fridge, another behind the wardrobe and once under the bath. I learnt, to my cost, that she is happy in these places and my trying to “rescue” her is a bad idea. When she is ready she comes out.

She’s also discovered how to climb the step ladder and now likes to sit at the top of it surveying her domain. We get on great because we are both night lovers.

As I tend to stay up all night working or chatting to friends around the world, she is happy to watch, or climb all over me. I made the mistake of throwing a morsel of fresh chicken across the room and she took great delight in chasing it down.

Now I am stuck with playing this game every night for at least half an hour, or I will get the meows and head butting. lol She certainly has a healthy appetite, and I’d go as far as to say that she is a greedy little thing. But I try to resist her begging even though it is hard.

I haven’t ventured out with her yet as she is still spooked by the noises of people walking past my door etc. But it is still early days and I’ll see how she does in a couple of weeks.

I am so glad I took her. I’ll keep you updated on regular intervals. I thought you’d like to see a couple of pics. Sorry about the quality but the phone camera isn’t brilliant.
