Brave McMurphy and Inquisitive Ophelia

Brave McMurphy and Inquisitive Ophelia
2 February 2013 Aime Cox-Tennant

I just wanted to give you an update on how our two beautiful tabby and whites are getting on. They’ve been named McMurphy (after the life and soul of the party in ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’) and Ophelia, Hamlet’s very beautiful girlfriend.

McMurphy has been a brave little kitten since the first minute and he continues to have his nose in everything. We’ve got patio doors and he’s already obsessed with looking outside and even trying to get the attention of the neighbour’s significantly bigger cat! Having said that, he’s practically doubled in size in the week we’ve had him, and I think he’s going to be a whopper. He’s a real wriggler and is never happier than when he’s playing. But when he’s tired he lopes straight up to one of us and likes a nice snooze, cuddled up to a leg. He loves having his tummy tickled too and has developed a purr like a motorbike!

Ophelia was much shyer when she first came to us, but that has completely gone and she’s just as inquisitive as McMurphy now. She’s absolutely the most sweet-natured cat I’ve come across. She also loves playing and keeps going back for more with her brother, despite being a little over half his size. She loves a good cuddle from us and will happily be carried around like the upper-class lady she is.

They’re still very good friends as you can see from the photos, and when they were very out of sorts after their first jabs, they looked after each other very well. We’ve let them explore the upstairs of our house today for the first time, which they have been very excited about.

Thank you so so much for helping us find our perfect kittens. We adore them!
