Intelligent Tigger

Intelligent Tigger
3 January 2014 Aime Cox-Tennant

Just wanted to let you know how our ‘Senior Kittizen’ who we adopted from you in September 2013 is getting on. We came to your open day in Frenchay in autumn 2013 looking for a kitten but we all fell in love with Tigger as soon as we saw him.

It was only when we started talking to his foster carer that we found out he was 14!  At first we weren’t sure we wanted to adopt such an old cat but we discussed it with our ten year old daughter Poppy and explained to her that he might not be around for years and years and, after some consideration, she said that she wanted to give him a happy old age so we went ahead.  We are very glad we did!

Sofa-Cat as he is now called (very silly I know but it is because he LOVES the sofa) is a very friendly, cheeky, intelligent cat who is still full of life even though he is now 15!  He purrs non-stop and very loudly and is also extremely vocal, starting as soon as he hears the front door.  As you can see from the photos I’ve attached, him and Poppy are very much in love.

I wanted to share this with you in the hope that it would encourage other people to consider an older cat as an addition to their families, we are certainly glad that we did!

Happy New Year.
