Piggy and Shy bean (official names Peggy and Suzy)
Piggy and Bean are about 8 months old and are a pair of complete hooligans. They are absolutely wonderful, they are intelligent a bit talkative, playful and very cuddly when they aren’t on official cat business.
They’ve been with me for about a month and have just gotten better and better. They are both very food motivated which can cause issues but as they are so young I can only see this getting better and better. They had a tough start in life and this is where that come from.
Bean is the introvert and a bit shy, but once you get to know her she’ll come find you and cuddle, she likes to groom her human which can involve the odd love bite, but again as she gets older this I’m sure can be trained out..She’s playful and enjoys running about and is often baffled at Piggy’s antics.
Piggy likes to play fetch with her favourite toy and is very accomplished at this. She’ll leap off the sofa bring her ball back and show you where it is and ask for it to be thrown again.

Bastet and Akhenaten
Foster in Bristol Our half Siamese, Egyptian-named beauties need a home together. Bastet (Grey and White) and Akhenaten (Grey) could not be sweeter companions. Beautiful Bast will follow you and around and loves to sit on or near you at all times, chatting happily as she does. Although 14 she is still playful, although a relatively unsuccessful hunter despite her interest in watching birds (she loves watching nature documentaries and magpies on cat TV!) Regal brother, Akhenaten, started off a little shyer than his confident sister, but was out looking for head rubs and human assurance within a couple of days. He is a gentle giant who will play a little fetch with you, but mainly likes to find a snuggly spot nearby to snooze away the day. Unless treats are involved of course, then it’s all systems go!
Both cats love a fuss and human company, so ideally would like people that will be around the house a lot (work from home-ers, retirees etc) who they can chat to and hang out with. They have had problems in the past with being attacked by neighbourhood cats and dogs so must be homed as indoors or with access to a catio as they've been a bit traumatised by outdoors. Vaccinated, chipped and neutered with 5 weeks free insurance.
Akhenaton has very minimal arthritis in a hind leg and will probably need a dental within the next 2 years (as per vet check). As these issues are not insurable, BWCR will cover their cost at Fernlea vets if treatment becomes necessary in the future. Foster in Bristol Paul McCatney says Love Me Do "When he feels confident and safe he comes to my husband and I for attention and will allow us to stroke and groom him and is particularly affectionate at mealtimes He enjoys playing with rod toys and will chase balls and mice toys around too. He is reluctant for us to approach him though because he wants it to be on his terms. He is anxious and fearful which is most obvious when there is anyone else visiting or staying in the house or with common but unpredictable noises like the doorbell being rung.
His fearful nature has meant we have not let him out as we are concerned he will run and hide when something scares him and our presence does not reassure him when he is scared.
He has come on leaps and bounds since first adopting him in early 2024 - we were not able to touch him for 4 months and he should improve further in the right setting.
He does hiss to show his fear but he has never been aggressive towards us though he does panic when the cat carrier appears! Future home: We feel he needs a very quiet, predictable home setting (no pets/no children) with safe outdoor space. As a feral cat for two years he may do well living in an outdoor space like a garden or outbuilding with human contact/support." 3 yrs old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance, this handsome boy is still with his owners. Millie
Foster in Bristol Special home needed for our shybaby Millie Dear Millie is a bit of a project puss, she's about 16 and was very scared when she first arrived. She'd originally turned up as a stray many years ago and has only known one elderly owner. She is getting bolder by the day, and jumps up on the bed (in 'her' room and mine) every morning/evening now for strokes. She's even getting used to my partner - it's like she's slowly learning how to cat! She's started to play a little when she's in the mood - she will chase/attack little leaves and bits of string and has the occasional mini zoomies. Not bad for a little old lady! She really loves strokes and snuggles too and purrs up a storm but she's always slightly wary and ready to disappear under the bed again. I'm sure that will improve with time though. She's such a lovely sweet natured puss and would love a garden away from busy roads/catio to keep her safe. She did have feline friends previously but tolerated them rather than being besties! Neutered,chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance.

Nala
Foster in Bristol, Reserved Here's a rarity for you - only around 20% of gingers are female Beautiful little Nala, 2 years old, she's a little shy to begin with but give her some time and she'll be fine. Once she's settled she is very sweet and affectionate and loves head strokes. She does get spooked easily and wasn't happy with the children in her previous home so, this time round, she's looking for a calm, adult-only abode where she can chill to her heart's content. She'd also like a garden away from busy roads/catio to keep her safe. We don't know what she's like with other moggies unfortunately.
