  • Twiggy&Tiger

    ,
Crouching Tiger, added Twiggy. These cats were abandoned and very thin when they came to BWCR. Twiggy, had a really bad flea allergy too and was half bald. What she lacked in fur she made up with in purrsonality, she is a purry, head bumping, attention seeking avalanche of love. Twiggy is probably about 4 years old. Her bonded partner, Tiger, is initially shy but gentle and loving when he gets to know you. He is around 8, but in very good nick all things considered. Twiggy is very protective of him, and they often wash each other. They will be chipped, neutered and vaccinated and will need a quiet home with a super safe garden as we don't think they have been outside Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Bella

Lovely Bella is looking for a quieter home with the option to have a sunbathe when she feels like it; she tends to stay close to home and prefers indoors in the Winter! Bella is a timid puss and doesn't like to be picked up but will come and sit beside you or on your lap for a fuss; it just takes a little time for her to get to know you. She'd like no children or other pets and someone all to herself to let her little personality blossom. 7 yrs. Neutered and had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Shaun

    ,
Shaun was rescued as a stray and now is so happy to have left that life behind! He is the most adorable cat who loves to sit on your lap and just can't get enough cuddles. He is approx 3, likes some cats but would probably prefer to be the only attention-seeking cat! He'll need a garden away from busy roads and will be fine with older children. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Rita

We could play guess the age of the cat with Rita here, but you'd never believe us if we told you (even the vet didn't!). She's actually around 14, but the lovely vet said she has the body and constitution of a 10-year-old 😸 Rita was terribly pleased. She's a happy, friendly, bright, affectionate pyjama case of a cat, who loves being with her humans for chats, cuddles and treats. For this reason, she'd be ideally suited to someone that's around for much of the day, although she doesn't mind being left and is happy to snooze until someone's home to talk to. Rita came in with a couple of other young cats, but would really like to find a home now without other cats, where she can be the centre of attention. She's calm but confident, so would be OK with a gentle, cat-friendly dog that knows its place! She has also lived with children, and would be happy with young humans over about 9 / 10 years old. A safe outdoor space is a must for her too, as she's had access to outdoors. Rita's microchipped, has had her first vaccination, and will come with 5 weeks' free insurance. She now just needs her permanent lap, food dispenser and fuss-giver. Fostered in Chippenham. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Pickle

Here are a few words about him... Pickle is a big bundle of ginger and white gorgeousness who came into foster care when his elderly owner could no longer care for him. He is 10 years old, and although he is a little shy at first, when he comes out of his shell he is friendly and loves a bit of attention. While not demanding or intrusive, if you stop stroking him before he is ready he will let you know with a polite little tap. He is quite chilled, would be happy with children and has not responded at all when his fosterer's own cat has hissed at him. His long hair needs regular brushing. He has been used to staying in, but would like a chance to explore outside and get some exercise as he is a little on the plump side, so a house with a safe garden is a must. He is vaccinated, neutered and chipped, having a dental soon plus comes with 6 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • George

    ,
George is a very chilled out male cat. He is very tolerant of children as I have 3, my youngest being 5 years old. He likes to rub his heads on your hands and lets you know when hes hungry! He greets you when you come home if you call his name and runs from wherever he is for some stroking! When he wants attention he lets you know and wont leave you alone until you've rubbed his head, wherever you are! He does come running when you open the fridge door and expects something from there. He will go up on his front legs to see whats in the fridge! He will need some outside space as he likes to go exploring. Hes not that keen on being picked up and so far he is not a lap cat. He loves sleeping on my bed or on this one cushion we have downstairs! He does keep himself to himself a lot but does love a good stroke now and again. We will all miss him when he goes! • Bud

Bouncy Bud is apparently part Bengal and he's certainly very playful and lively..and very chatty, he has an opinion on most topics 🤣 He's shy to begin with and startled by loud noises but he soon settles into an affectionate lovebug. He'll need a garden away from busy roads, no young children and not too busy a household as strange visitors make him hide a bit. He has lived happily with another cat though. Neutered plus comes with 5weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Make sure you read our Adopt page and complete our Adoption Application form. • Mog

Marvellous Mog..... The seriously cute Mog was with a wonderful family who loved her dearly however, their baby was unfortunately allergic so sadly had to give her up and handed her into the RSPCA. It was there we found out she had a history and had been with BWCR as a foster after she had a car accident causing a broken leg. Mog is now super fighting fit and an absolute pleasure. She is very chatty, affectionate and she is fine with children. She absolutely loves cuddles. Mog is a hunter so she will need a garden away from busy roads so she can really express her natural instincts. 6 years old, chipped, vaccinated, plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Beanie

    ,
Beanie is a super little cat who was left behind, pregnant, when her owners were evicted from their flat. Luckily one of our volunteers works for the Council so Beanie was soon headed our way :) She's about 2 years and sweet, gentle and loving. She's fine with children but we don't know about other cats so best she goes as an only puss for lots of spoiling and cuddles. She'd also like a garden away from busy roads. She's been a great mum and her kittens have flown the nest so she's ready for her next chapter now too. Neutered and chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Sally

SALLY is desperately in need of a new home as her owner has a serious allergy which is causing her health problems. Sally is 8 years old, neutered, in good health and a pleasant, friendly girl. She would be happy with feline company or as an only cat. Sally is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Barney

BARNEY is a super-friendly boy who likes nothing more than climbing on your lap for a cuddle or following you around the house or garden to see what you're up to! He was found as a skinny stray and is now getting some weight on him. He is neutered and microchipped. Barney is not good with other cats, tending to try to intimidate by standing close and growling, something which could be a result of having to fight for scraps as a stray. With people, though, he is a loving, gentle boy, eager to please! We think Barney is about 6 years old. Barney is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. • Misty

MISTY, neutered and microchipped, found herself homeless when her family split. She lived rough for some time until she came to our attention. Misty is friendly with everyone and tolerant of all the other cats around her. She is such a pretty girl with lovely facial markings! We think she is around six years old. If you choose Misty you'll never have an empty lap again!! Misty is with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Ollie

OLLIE is an all-black youngster, just over two years old. He is friendly and playful but is not keen on other male cats. He'd be okay with a female, though! Ollie is full of character, liveliness and just a perfect little panther. Neutered, chipped and with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815056120. • BW

Meet BW! Not so much a lap cat as a proximity cat. Loves people and loves being around anything that's going on. Independent spirit but a massive soft side. Will hunt you down for strokes and scritches. Very playful, loves to chase things! Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Chester & Willow

    ,
Very friendly and playful 2 year old brother & sister who lived outside for the first part of their lives but have adjusted well to life indoors. Both have lovely natures and are people orientated but are not used to being handled so will take time to settle in a new home. Would not suit very young children as they are still quite shy but are making good progress and enjoy being smoothed. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Florence

Fancy some floofy tortitude? Then look no further than the beautiful Florence. Just turned 2 yrs, Flo is actually delightful - affectionate, loving, lively and playful but on her terms ...of course! If she thinks you've stroked her a nanosecond too long she will let you know with a lovebite and she doesn't like being groomed. Little and often is the name of the game theŕe with bribery in the form of Dreamies :) She was given up as she didn't like the new baby and, unsurprisingly, this little diva doesn't like other pets either. So an adult-only home or one with older, bossycat-savvy, children is needed plus a garden away from busy roads as she's keen to be out and about again. Her divaness may improve once she can expend some energy in the garden! She really is a lovely puss with 'character' 🤣 Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Nomad

Nomad is ready for his new home. The stitches are out, the wound is healed, the cone is off - he's just a bit drafty round the derriere until his fur grows back! He's guesstimated at 3 yrs and he's lived on the streets for a while so he's getting used to being a pet cat again. He doesn't 'do' toys at the moment but that may come but he loves a fuss and will chat to you especially when he wants his tea! He uses a litter tray perfectly and is a really easy, undemanding puss. We've spoken to several people and it seems his territory was large - at least four houses have been feeding him and he's been regularly crossing the superbusy Two Mile Hill Rd. So..we don't want his new territory to overlap with his old at all as he'll just carry on where he left off and he may not be so fortunate in only losing his tail next time. With this in mind we won't rehome him within 5 miles of the Kingsway/Two Mile Hill Rd area. He seems fine with other cats and has been a model patient - no grumpiness even though he was in a lot of pain and very sweet at the vets. No young children as his rear end will be sensitive for a while and definitely a garden away from busy roads! Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Tia

4 year old spayed and chipped very fluffy female who has lived outside for most of her life but has adjusted well to life indoors. Very shy but has a lovely nature. Would not suit very young children but is making good progress and is happy to be around people . Tia was part of a small group of cats and so is very good with other cats and would best be homed as a companion to a friendly domestic cat that she can learn from. • Reuben

Very friendly but very shy 5 year old neutered and chipped male. He loves a good fuss but is easily startled so will need a quieter home and to be able settle at his own pace. He is very good with other cats and would benefit from living with a more confident cat.
