• Pudsey

,
Pudsey the bearcat 💜 We were called by a vets in Newport to help with this stray boy, hit by a car. His ear is fine but no-one knows why it looks like that! Meet the very dapper Pudsey! We think he is 4-5 years old and he came into our care after an RTA which led to the amputation of his right back leg. He has recovered well and is doing brilliantly on the remaining 3 legs – 3 weeks after his amputation he was managing the stairs just fine. He loves to play with a cat nip toy and loves his treats – although as far as he is concerned he never gets as many as he would like. Mean Foster Mummy has tried to tell him he needs to maintain a stable weight so he will be ok on 3 legs but Pudsey doesn’t agree. He can be a bit grumpy, this might improve when he can go outside and feel like he has some independence and he will need a safe garden that is suitable for his needs. He does like a bit of a chat and a fuss although he isn’t crazy about his folded over ear being touched. Whilst not a lap cat he will be happy snoozing on the sofa next to you of an evening – how close he sits depends on whether you give him a bit of your dinner or not! An adult-only home with no other pets would suit him just fine. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. *** If you're interested please mail us at [email protected] *** Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Betsy

,
Beautiful Betsy 💜 Betsy came to us as her owner died, she is approximately 7 years old and unfortunately her owner didn't get her spayed. She was already heavily pregnant yet again when she arrived 😟 She had 4 lovely kittens that have been rehomed and now it's her turn. After having been a kitten-making factory for so long she deserves all the love and spoiling in the world. Betsy is very affectionate and is a real lap cat, whoever adopts her will be very lucky! We think that she will be better in an adult home or older children as she is not used to young children. She does have one quirk and that is she usually greets people she doesn't know with a hiss but once that hiss is out of the way she laps up as much attention as you will give her. That's why the pictures aren't great- she's too buy trying to headbutt us for a fuss! She is very playful maybe having spent so much time playing with her kittens! She'd love a garden away from busy roads and to be a only pet. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Badger

Gorgeous grey gentleman 💜 Badger is an independent boy who loves a good roam in the garden followed by a long sleep on the bed. He is often found sleeping in the sink and isn’t phased by water at all, quite often drinking out of the tap and getting wet in the process. He would love a home with no other pets or children where he can be affectionate on his terms and is allowed his own space. He can be a little anxious at times so will need to learn to trust his new owners and, in return, he will sit next to you on the sofa, or on your lap if he's feeling magnanimous! He loves a head and neck rub but not the belly, never the belly! He'd love a garden away from busy roads as he does like to go exploring. 4 yrs old neutered, chipped , vaccinated plus currently insured which can be transferred or we can offer our 5 weeks free insurance. Badger is still with his owner to save him the stress of a move into foster. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Stripey

Any tabby lovers out there? 💜 Stripey is a handsome Tabby Bengal mix, approx 13 years old. He came into foster after his elderly owner went into hospital and has been with us for 6 months now. He was extremely anxious when he first arrived but has now become much more social and confident. He would thrive in a quiet home with perhaps an older person or couple with no children or other pets. He's used to being the centre of someone's world but he's not needy - he's quite happy to entertain himself if you're not home. He's a sweet, gentle, loving boy and adores a chin scritch - his most favourite thing. He's not a lap cat but loves to snuggle next to you on the settee or bed, just make sure you always have one hand free for those chin tickles though! Lastly, he would love a garden away from busy roads as he's used to going out. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Ra

Rural type home needed for Ra 💜 Ra was living on an air base in Saudi Arabia as a feral kitten, unloved and unwanted - that's him in the first pic as a tiny baby. He was going to be put to sleep so a kind couple rescued him - they weren't quite sure what was going to happen but they just knew they couldn't let him die. They paid for his transport to the UK but, as they live on a busy road, they've had to keep him as an indoor cat and he's not at all happy about that. Plus he hates their dogs and their busy household with grandchildren visiting. So we need someone to take up the baton on Ra's journey now - his owners just want him to be happy. He'd love a rural location where he can roam safely as he has no idea about traffic and a quieter adult-only home with no other pets. He does like his home comforts especially snuggling on the settee with his teddy bear! Can we find him his happy ending? 4yrs old, neutered, chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Currently in Newport with his owners. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Pixie

Water baby looking for a new sink 💜 Well how do I describe Pixie - mad as a box of frogs probably covers it! . She is the one of the most beautiful cats I have ever met, about 18 months old. She loves her food but is a nibbler and tends to eat small amounts through the day. She is very friendly but also likes her own space and a sunny windowsill. She was stressed in her previous home with young children so needs a quieter home now with no other pets. She starved herself for 2 days when she first arrived but has since really come out of her shell. This cat is a true wonder of the world, she is a teenager of monumental proportions. She likes to bin dive and get on the side in the kitchen. She understands the word no but I often have to remove her from said bin and side. She has recently started playing properly. She absolutely loves the box I have got with holes in and spends ages getting the balls mice etc out and thoroughly trashes her room whilst playing. She loves a wool ball and charges all over the house, up and down the stairs etc chasing it to give it a good battering. She also loves catnip and hanging toys. She hunts through the bannisters and is an absolute devil on the stairs. - I wouldn't recommend her for those less agile! She also hunts toes, my 18 year old son is her plaything, the pair of them seem to be the same mental age, it's absolutely marvellous 🤣 She is totally unique and an absolute joy and has a particular fascination with taps and plugs. She loves to watch water coming out of the tap and then into the plughole ( it's magic you know, where does it come from and where does it go?) She is so determined that she barges into the bathroom in the morning, gets in the sink and cries for you to turn the tap on. She often puts her paw in the flow of water. She then spends a considerable amount of time examining the tap, plughole and the water, her nose goes right down the plughole. Honestly this is a new one on me but it's absolutely magic to watch. She looks at you in delight. In this house she gets a "clever girl" - we embrace the lunacy! She is a fabulous cat whose personality is really shining now she is truly settled. She is happy, friendly and fun. We will miss her but she is ready to go to a special home that will embrace her idiosyncrasies. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Meg & Max

Mum Meg and son Max 💜💜 This pretty pair are more lucky cats rescued from a life on the streets. They are shy but loving, very gentle natured and enjoy a fuss but like to approach you first. They are not overly happy being picked up so will need a patient household to help them progress and so are not suitable for very young children. Max loves his Mum and they are very close with Meg regularly still washing him though she puts him in his place from time to time too - once a mum, always a mum! They would do well settled in one room to begin with and with puppy pads/newspaper around the litter tray - Max had an upset tummy when he first arrived (all sorted now) and he associates the litter tray with discomfort. His once daily poop tends to be just outside the tray now and obviously won't be an issue once they start going outside. They'd love a garden away from busy roads and they're good with other cats. Meg is 3 yrs, Max is 2yrs and they're both neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue?
