    Rhubarb and Crumble

We have a beautiful brother and sister looking for a home together 💜
These kittens are approximately 4 months old and were living outside. They'd not had much human interaction unfortunately and are still learning how to 'cat' properly in a home! They are not suitable to live with young children.
"Rhubarb and Crumble are 4 month olds siblings, looking for a home together. Both are very sweet and affectionate but are a bit worried when it comes to being approached fast and with loud noises.
Rhubarb is more laid back than Crumble and enjoys watching life from a distance where as Crumble likes to get more involved and can be quite naughty, he is still in the process of learning that hands aren’t for chewing!
Both are very affectionate once they know you and you’ll often find them purring around your feet. They would be best to live with teenagers and adults only."
They'll need time to settle in a quieter home and would love a garden away from busy roads for adventures. A nice friendly existing puss may help them learn the ropes but isn't a necessity.
Vet checked and started their vaccinations plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.

Bashful Bear 💜 Bear is a very sweet, very talkative but shy guy. He absolutely loves a fuss - so much so that he'll grab your hand if you stop too soon and he can scratch you accidentally. You all might benefit from clipping his claws regularly! He's not at all nasty just over eager. He couldn't cope with the children in his previous home so needs a nice quiet life now with slaves who are happy to stroke and fuss him for hours and tell him how handsome he is. He's only 1year so full of energy and needs a garden away from busy roads and no other pets. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.

    Wendell and Tommy

Two more boys failed miserably by their humans - we don't know if it's even worth reminding people anymore that male cats need neutering to help prevent wandering, fighting and infectious diseases. It's totally demoralising to have to keep picking up the pieces from uncaring owners. Sick, injured cats suffering and costing us a fortune at the vets when it could have been so easily prevented. We doubt these type of owners would ever even follow a cat page to see the message and we're just preaching to the choir every time. Rant over - we now have 8 FIV pos and 2 FeLV pos cats - all un-neutered toms who deserved better. To the responsible, caring owners who do want to get their cats neutered and may be struggling - please contact a rescue, there are many options available to fund all or part of the cost :) So two more boys who are now FIV positive and needing indoor homes - they can go together or separately. Wendell: 9ish years old, FIV positive. Has had the toughest time on the mean streets of Yate, was found limping and eating out of recycling bins. He needed a dental and has very few teeth now and just needs a nice place to live indoors, a secure outdoor enclosure to enjoy life would be lovely but not compulsory! He is quite scared at the moment but knows humans/human contact and is accepting a small amout of brushing and is very chatty with me which is giving me hope he’s going to come around and become a gummy little snuggler. Update : Wendell is already out of hiding and deigning to accept affection and breakfast in bed :) Tommy: estimated at about 7/8 years old, FIV positive. The streets have been kinder to Tommy, he’s not found to have any other health issues. He would also need to be indoor and again would probably love a catio or a cat secure space to chill outside though he will transition to being an indoor cat without one. He is beloved at his foster home at the moment and is described as ‘chilled’ and ‘lush’. He’s fed every morning by their young children, isn’t phased by the presence of their cat and accepting grooming, scritches and being picked up. He’s ready for love! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come 5 weeks free insurance- BWCR will cover any FIV-related costs at one of our vets.
  • Elsie

Elsie is a lovely eight year old tortoise shell cat. She is very affectionate and loves to be around people. She does however get a little bitey and heavy handed when playing but it’s always well meaning. It does mean she’s not suited to being around toddlers.
Elsie settled in straight away when she arrived and made herself very at home right from day one. She loves chasing lasers, head scratches, and naps in the same room as people.
Elsie is well litter trained and not a very fussy eater but she does enjoy dinner time and if it’s late Elsie gets quite vocal!
She'd love a garden away from busy roads and a home with no other pets.
Neutered,  chipped,  vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Birthday

Birthday is like his name, incredibly happy and full of love 💜
This affectionate young man demands kisses and head scratches in abundance.
The first night in foster he cried and faced the wall. 24 hours later he was sitting on laps, purring and kissing noses.
He will happily and gently play with young children (I tested this out with a  five year old) and doesn't mind being regularly introduced to new people.
He'd love a family who can give him lots of attention, fuss and playtime!
He is one of the sweetest, funniest, most affectionate little kitties I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
He is also litter trained, a neat eater, and a bit of an explorer.
If you have a lot of love and time and don't mind loud purring, the occasional chirp, or a marmite theiving racoon, Birthday may be your perfect match.
Birthday needs to be the only pet and has never been outside but would like to, so needs a garden away from any busy roads as he has no road sense but tons of exuberance!
1 yr old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Mowgli

How has our handsome hunk not been chosen yet?! 💜 Mowgli is a very handsome, chatty and affectionate gentleman who has settled in really well with his foster carer. He was found as an entire male stray and has been estimated to be around 5 years old. He is in great health in general and seems to have suffered no ill effects from his time living rough. Not one for charging about, most days are spent relaxing on various soft surfaces occasionally popping into the room you're working in to shout at you until he gets his head scratched. You will also never have to worry about using the bathroom or showering alone as he is fascinated by running water. In the evenings he loves to get in close to you on the sofa (but rarely on your lap) with extra points for having a soft blanket to call his own. He's a large boy at 5.5KG and enjoys his food so it's worth keeping an eye on this. He has suffered from stress cystitis which is now being managed with a special diet (Royal Canin Urinary) and medication for a flare up. It's now been weeks since his last attack and he seems much more relaxed now. He needs to be an only pet in an adult-only home with access to a garden away from busy roads. As the cystitis is not covered by insurance BWCR will cover costs at one of our vets if he should need treatment- hopefully he'll be absolutely fine now though. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue?
