Woody and Jessie
Home-from-home adoption We're looking for a longterm foster for these lovely cats where BWCR support with medications and vet trips. Sadly their owners' circumstances have changed hugely and they're no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years. 2 senior housecats are looking for a new home Sadly, due to a change in our circumstances, we are seeking a new home for our furry family, and the three need to remain together.
They need to have company in the daytime and evenings whenever possible so they won’t be suited to someone who works away from home and goes on lots of holidays.
They are strictly house cats; Woody and Jessie have been since birth.
They are missing out on the company and love they need, so we want them to go to a home that can give them what they deserve for their remaining years. Ideally, someone who works from home the majority of the time or is retired.
They are all fine with children, but no dogs or other cats. They are neutered, microchipped and are up to date with all their vaccinations.
It is sad to have to let them go, but we feel it is in their best interest to have the full amount of love and attention we are sadly no longer able to give them. Woody (Jessie’s Brother) 16 yrs, loves company but is not a lap cat. He loves head and chin rubs, and despite being the biggest, is the most timid. Once he gets to know and love you, he will happily lie next to you on the arm of the chair and just purr, looking at you lovingly once he gets to know you. He has the biggest appetite, being the largest of the three. Jessie (Woody’s sister) 16 yrs, is a madam and sees herself as queen of the house. She will try to steal others' food by sticking her head in the lid as it is closing on the automatic feeder. She's overweight due to this, so her food needs to be limited. She can be affectionate when she wants something and does like head and chin rubs. She will sit or lie next to you and purr loudly (she has a very loud purr!) She needs painkillers in the morning (plastic syringe into mouth which she doesn't mind) due to arthritis in her back legs and lower spine, also a tablet for her joints ( powder into morning food) and one for her urinary tract (powder into her morning food). Please mail us at [email protected] if you can offer these senior kittizens their retirement home under BWCR and Fernlea vets in Hanham or Kingswood.

Cookie
Home-from-home adoption Meet Cookie – A Wild-at-Heart Companion Looking for His Perfect Match Cookie is a striking 21/2-year-old Arabian Mau with a big personality and a loyal heart. Originally rescued from the streets of Dubai, he’s now looking for a forever home where he can truly be himself — playful, affectionate, and a little bit wild. What Makes Cookie Special:
Affectionate & Loyal – Cookie is a real softie with his humans. He loves lap time, purrs like a motor, and will follow you from room to room — and all around the garden — like a little dog (unless he’s napping, eating, or out adventuring).
Clever & Playful – When he wants to play, he’ll drag his toys into the room you’re in to get your attention. He’s always thinking, always engaging, and always up for fun.
Chatty & Social – Cookie always announces himself with a cheerful meow when he enters a room, just to say hello. He loves being part of the action.
Food-Motivated & Bright – He’s got a lot to say, especially around mealtimes, and he’s incredibly sharp. You’ll never be bored with Cookie around. A Bit of Wild Still in Him
As an Arabian Mau, Cookie has retained some of his natural instincts. He’s very territorial and has been getting into fights with neighbouring cats. We believe he now sees them more as intruders than rivals, which has been stressful for everyone involved. He’s not suited to indoor-only life, so we’re looking for a rural or semi-rural home with no nearby cats. Cookie also has a wild streak — every now and then, he gets a very specific look on his face, and when he does, he may bite. It’s not out of aggression, but more like a momentary instinct kicking in. The good news is, he snaps out of it quickly, and we’ve learned to spot the signs before it happens. He’s also learned not to do it to us (well, mostly!). His new owner will need patience, awareness, and a good sense of humour — ideally someone with experience of spirited or high-energy cats. Cookie’s Ideal Home:
A countryside or rural setting with safe outdoor access
No other cats nearby (and ideally no other pets)
No young children (due to his tendency to bite when overstimulated)
Someone who appreciates a cat with spirit and will give him the time and space he needs
Cookie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and full of love. We’ll continue to care for him until the right home comes along — he deserves a place where he can be his full, fabulous self. If you’re looking for a faithful, fun, and fiercely unique companion, Cookie might just be your perfect match

Zac
Home-from-home adoption, Reserved Zac looking for an indoor home Zac 12 yrs, has been an absolute joy to have as part of the family over the last few years. He absolutely loves attention, and loves nothing more than lots of cuddles, strokes, belly rubs, and brushes – except maybe his food! He loves his dinner and loves to drink from taps when allowed. He can be a little anxious at times which is why he will suit a calm and loving household where he can get lots of attention and affection, and where his human or humans are around a lot of the time. He may not be best suited to a more chaotic household with children/lots of noise, he prefers a quiet life.
He recently became very poorly with a blocked bladder but, after undergoing PU surgery (perineal urethrostomy where the urethra is excised and widened), he is now as right as rain . Anyone who gets to become Zac's new forever family is very lucky – he’s a very special boy. Neutered chipped with 5 weeks free insurance please mail us at [email protected] with a contact number for this soppy boy.

Max
Home-from-home adoption Max 18 yrs, is an old fellow, but the most playful and energetic, and needs unlimited access to dry food.. He is extremely affectionate and loves spending time on your lap, receiving head rubs, and cuddles. The minute you sit down anywhere he will be on your lap! He has a tablet for his joints (powder into morning food). He’s quite chatty too and announces when he’s off to bed or heading to the litter tray (and after he’s done his business!).
