Tulip
Tulip is the little girl who came from V4P in Newport as a stray several months ago and what a glow up!
Her mouth was in a dreadful state and so painful she would hardly eat leaving her underweight and slightly anaemic. Covered in dead fleas and with ear mites, she was feeling dreadful but was still a little sweetheart. She now only has 2 teeth left and may need those removing in the future too (BWCR will fund this at Fernlea vets) but she’s now like a whole new cat and ready for a lovely new indoor home.
“Since her dental she has tripled her food intake and is now her running to the food bowl several times a day rather than me carrying her to it, begging her to eat. While waiting for her food you can hear her start purring loudly.
Her coat is much healthier now she can groom herself properly and she went from sneezing every 10 minutes and making constant sniffly noises to now basically nothing.
Her playful side has also made an occasional appearance with her chasing a laser pen or string but mostly she loves to be a purring Queen – sleep, strokes, eat and be on top of things. She is not a lap cat but likes being near and ask for cuddles. She’s very happy indoors now, she’s had quite enough of the streetlife!
She’s guesstimated around 10 years old and vets and visitors have all loved her. She is a very calm and gentle cat, a bit of a little old lady and I can see her going to a quiet, comfortable retirement home.
And definitely no dogs – the only time she has ever made any proper noise was seeing dogs at the vet and it was all hissing and growling!”
We presume she’s neutered as she’s not come into season but again, would fund that if necessary, vaccinated, chipped with 5 weeks free insurance. Plus FIV/FeLV tested as her mouth was so mouth bad and she’s negative.
