Max and Freddie came to us in May and since then their personalities have developed and they have both become an important part of our home.
Max is a clever little man who has worked out how to open doors by jumping up on to the handle!! This at first was very impressive and an opportunity to wow people; however we are now at the stage of trying to train him not to do this on our bedroom door at 3am! He is very affectionate and loves to take it in turns to sit on Matt’s lap and then mine as he doesn’t want to show favouritism. He can be a bit mischievous and has a look in his eyes when he knows he’s being naughty. He is very much a home cat who doesn’t venture far and will come running as soon as we shake his biscuit box. He is quite demanding and when he comes in from outside he will cry until we shout back so he knows where we are to come and find us. He likes to be in the same room as one of us the majority of the time, although tends to be at my feet the most (that’s probably because I feed him!).
Freddie is the bigger of the two and, in the nicest possible way, is the dumber of them! In the first few weeks of them venturing outside, he walked in to a neighbour’s front room whilst she was breast feeding her baby and went for her dog. Obviously the dog was protective and retaliated!! A trip to the vet followed! Freddie does like to travel a bit further from home but when he comes in, he does like to demand attention. He has recently become extremely attached to a stuffed toy carrot which he likes us to throw, and he’ll pick up and bring back to us – just like a dog. Freddie is also vocal, making sure you are aware that he has come back into the house and when he wants feeding.
The two of them tend to spend most of their time together and like to wash each other affectionately, but often that will lead on to a bit of a playful scrap! They have truly made our house a home, for which we are grateful to you for giving us. We love them both dearly and can’t imagine what life was like before they came to us.
