We’ve had to revise Honey’s write up as, now her kittens have left the building, she’s turned into a big kitten herself!
Honey has raised her little ones and they’ve gone off to super new homes. It’s now her time to shine and she’s reverted to a high energy, zoomie loving, big kitten! I think she missed her own kittenhood due to being a mama so she’s now making up for lost time. She wakes up, has breakfast, plays with toy mice, fluffy dinosaurs, ball toys and does several laps of the house. She then has a small nap and repeats this throughout the day. In the evening currently she likes to have about 2 hours of playtime before bed but will mostly play on her own and best to pick your toes up as she’s a bit of a clumsy kitten and you could well get trampled on!
She has the makings of a lap cat but we’re not there yet. She does like to come and watch the Traitors or even Strictly on a Saturday night for a while but doesn’t stay for the whole programme! We’ve overcome her dislike of being picked up, that’s improving daily and she’ll now tolerate at least 2 or 3 minutes of a cuddle before politely requesting to get down.
Sensible children over 10 should be fine, she’s just a bit clumsy and sometimes nibbly for little ones. She was once the laziest cat I’ve ever met but now her kittens have gone, she’s the most bouncy we’ve had here for a long time.
She’d love a garden away from busy roads for her new found energy.
Honey in a nutshell: eat, play hard, small nap – repeat! Honey brings such joy to our house, it’s so good to see her blossom and grow.
