Woody and Jessie
Home-from-home adoptionWe're looking for a longterm foster for these lovely cats where BWCR support with medications and vet trips. Sadly their owners' circumstances have changed hugely and they're no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years. 2 senior housecats are looking for a new home Sadly, due to a change in our circumstances, we are seeking a new home for our furry family, and the three need to remain together. They need to have company in the daytime and evenings whenever possible so they won’t be suited to someone who works away from home and goes on lots of holidays. They are strictly house cats; Woody and Jessie have been since birth. They are missing out on the company and love they need, so we want them to go to a home that can give them what they deserve for their remaining years. Ideally, someone who works from home the majority of the time or is retired. They are all fine with children, but no dogs or other cats. They are neutered, microchipped and are up to date with all their vaccinations. It is sad to have to let them go, but we feel it is in their best interest to have the full amount of love and attention we are sadly no longer able to give them. Woody (Jessie’s Brother) 16 yrs, loves company but is not a lap cat. He loves head and chin rubs, and despite being the biggest, is the most timid. Once he gets to know and love you, he will happily lie next to you on the arm of the chair and just purr, looking at you lovingly once he gets to know you. He has the biggest appetite, being the largest of the three. Jessie (Woody’s sister) 16 yrs, is a madam and sees herself as queen of the house. She will try to steal others' food by sticking her head in the lid as it is closing on the automatic feeder. She's overweight due to this, so her food needs to be limited. She can be affectionate when she wants something and does like head and chin rubs. She will sit or lie next to you and purr loudly (she has a very loud purr!) She needs painkillers in the morning (plastic syringe into mouth which she doesn't mind) due to arthritis in her back legs and lower spine, also a tablet for her joints ( powder into morning food) and one for her urinary tract (powder into her morning food). Please mail us at [email protected] if you can offer these senior kittizens their retirement home under BWCR and Fernlea vets in Hanham or Kingswood. - New
Darcy
Foster in BristolDarcy's world has been turned upside down as her owner is now too poorly to care for her. She's 10 years old with lovely superplush fur and is quite a big girl at 5.8kg - just more to cuddle! She is quiet and timid but sweet and gentle and tends to hide for some of the day before plucking up the courage to come out and sit quietly in one spot. She's happy to be slowly approached and have a head rub and is improving every day - she's just a bit discombobulated after all that time with one owner. She definitely does not want a loud home and likes a potter in the garden but never goes far. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination with 5 weeks free insurance, Darcy has no pride or prejudice so mail us at [email protected] with your address and a contact number if you can offer her a safe haven :)
