    Peaches

    ,
Pretty Peaches is looking for a home as an only puss. Her skirmishes with the other cat mean they are constantly having to be kept separate and no-one is happy - human or feline. She's a sweet girl with people and loves affection and fuss but definitely doesn't do sharing! She's never lived with children but has met some and they emerged unscathed so she'd probably be fine with older ones. She'd like a garden away from busy roads and someone to pay her lots of attention! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Portia

A quiet home needed for a project puss; Portia Portia came to us from Bristol ARC during lockdown as she was struggling in a kennel environment and very timid. "She’s making (slow) progress but unfortunately still not keen to have any kind of physical contact and can't be touched at all - she moves away if you get within about a foot of her, and can hiss or lash out if she feels threatened sadly. Other than that, she seems happy -she’s very inquisitive and playful and we have a dangly feathered toy which she is absolutely obsessed with and will happily play with for hours with me. I sometimes manage to stroke her a little bit with the wand from the toy while we're playing, though she's not very keen, and she’ll occasionally have a quick sniff of my hand if I reach it out to her but that’s about it. But generally she’s getting a little bit more relaxed and likes being around me even if not up for being touched yet.. " Fostermum has said she thinks Portia might quite like a garden to explore. Portia needs a patient owner to win her over- she will get there eventually! A quiet adult-only home with no other pets would suit her along with an endless supply of feathery toys! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. If you're interested please mail us at [email protected] Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Copper & Hazel & Oliver

    ,
Meet the three amigos looking for a home together 💜 Copper (f), Hazel (m) and Oliver (m) 5 months old. "These little beauties were born outdoors and had to be trapped - they came to me terrified and furious, but so happy to be safe and warm. Lots of time has been spent letting them come around to people and to reassure them they are in good hands. They're still skittish, but calm movements and gentle talk (and Dreamies) will bring them out in a jiffy. Catnip also goes down well but the food is the biggest winner, these guys love their bellies! They have grown so much in confidence and size and now they are such cool cats. They're named after their eye colours which are so different and striking. They're really playful, love each other and would make such a great addition to the right home. They've really kept me going through the madness, and helped me slow down throughout the day." They must be kept together in a quieter home with no young children. They'd be fine with other cats and need a garden away from busy roads. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Chester

    ,
. Chester is a bit of a project puss looking for a quiet adult-only home. He came in very scared and mistrustful of humans after years of being on the streets- he's about 5 now and still not crazy about men but getting better all the time! His fostermum has worked wonders with him and he now needs his own home with someone to continue that good work. She says he now loves to be loved and is a purring, snoring, dribbling machine. He's not quite a lap cat, but enjoys lounging near his chosen human for lots of gentle strokes and soft words. He'll wake you up in the morning by standing on you and purring in your face and if you're lucky might dribble on you in ecstasy too! He's still a timid boy who can spook very easily, but is getting better everyday. He loves to play and enjoys a roll around in catnip but he can get carried away and give you a nibble. He loves watching the world go and needs a garden away from busy roads plus an open top carrier - those things are scary! He loves his food and can be bought with treats but most of all he needs someone to give him some time to settle in a quiet, relaxed environment as an only pet. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Agnes

    ,
Glamourous delicate little Agnes came to us with her teeny kittens in late July, she settled in straight away trilling all around the house. The vet estimates her to be around 2 years old and now she’s raised her 3rd and final litter she deserves to relax and be pampered once she has been spayed. She is very sweet-natured and inquisitive although shows little interest in sitting on the sofa with us unless we have treats. She seems to prefer being away from the hustle and bustle of the house (especially if we have visitors) and doesn’t come to us looking for attention. However, if you go to her she will purr loudly and roll over as soon as you start stroking her and she loves to be brushed. She doesn’t mind being picked up or us handling her tufty paws (though occasionally she has warned us off touching her tum with a swipe). Now that she’s not on kitten duty she has started to play and show us her jumping skills with the feather fishing rod toy. She spends a fair amount of time wistfully staring out of the catflap or perusing garden life from her window perch and will be so thrilled to have a home with outdoor access. We don’t know how she’ll be with other cats, although she was still living with one of her older kittens before coming to us. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Zeb

    ,
Shy but very friendly and playful neutered and chipped long haired 6 month old male. Part of a litter that got on very well together so could go with another cat or on his own. Kitten of a feral mum so can be easily spooked so would not suit very young children. Very people orientated and loves being smoothed and is getting used to being picked up. Quite greedy with food and sometimes grips lightly with his teeth. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Shy but very friendly and playful neutered and chipped long haired 6 month old male. Has a low grade heart murmur which just needs to be monitored. • Princess & Tux

    ,
They are an odd couple but they are getting along SO much better now that Princess has stopped living under the sofa and Tux is growing up fast and getting some manners. They sleep together, travel in the cat carrier together, groom each other and keep each other company if you are out. They have a few fights too but nothing serious and Princess can stand her own. They were house cats before but now they have access to the garden which they love. Tux has only just ventured into next doors garden so quite a sweet gentle pair who are a bit naive of the local tom cat and still discovering butterflies and bugs. Princess is 100% lap cat. She's always hanging around the sofa waiting for cuddles and belly rubs. She really loves Dreamies and swallows them whole! Tux eats and eats! We have to feed Princess away from him so she has a chance before he finishes off her dinner too. He's very playful as you would expect for 10 months but not a lap cat yet. He does like to cuddle up when you are in bed and he is very affectionate and will give you lots of attention (sometimes too much!) And wake you up in the morning for breakfast with nose kisses. Both of them are loving and gentle but will be shy at first with new people. It took Princess longer than most cats to feel at home and she is undemanding and quiet (her requests are made by silent staring). My friends 7 year old was able to play with Tux for a few minutes but Princess was fairly terrified but was bribed by Dreamies to be visible. Tux can hear a Dreamies bag open from miles! Tux has a distinctive purr and always ready to play a game with you. He amuses himself too and the house is scattered with his toys.....he will ask to go out but both havent mastered the cat flap yet. He's definitely a mummys boy....he doesn't like to be far away from me whilst Princess is more likely to be on Dick and watching TV with him. You can pick them up and cuddle them, it's obvious they have been loved. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccinations plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
