    JJ Sploot

This handsome little dude is JJ. Full name JJ Sploot. Voted most likely to appear on a wanted poster. He’ll pilfer your Dreamies from a closed drawer then look you in the eyes while you’re telling him off, and steal your heart too! He’s got something for everyone. He’s glossy AND floofy. He’s more tail than cat, and he’s 200% purrsonality, 80% head bumping smoocher and 40% mischief and mayhem. (No maths qualifications though!) He’s on your lap the second you sit down and your view when you open your eyes in the morning will be him on your chest (see photo for evidence. He purrs like a motor but has the tiniest trill for a miaow. He does have a fine set of thunder paws though. You can hear his zoomies from the next room. JJ loves to be stroked , and will give your hands a good wash. He does nibble sometimes but a firm no will stop that. He’s only 7 months old and still learning. He’s a handsome jet black void with big amber eyes. He is wearing a pair of tiny white furry Speedos but you’re not allowed to laugh at them. He has his dignity! This gorgeous boy will want to sleep in your room, and will need lots of company. He could live with children old enough to teach him that fingers and toes are friends, not toys. He’s quite the attention seeker so would be best as an only pet, not sharing the adoration. He will need a safe garden on a quiet road, and a cat flap, and would benefit from staying in at night. The Dreamies will need to be well secured and the cuddles plentiful. He’s neutered, chipped and has had his first vaccination. All he needs now is his forever home.

    Clawdia

    ,
"Clawdia arrived with me early April, looking like a walking rugby ball, she quickly became known as fatty cat! She tumbled out the cat basket, looked at me, looked at the food and decided you'll do! From day one she acted like she had always been here. She had her kittens a couple of weeks later and immediately decided we should all raise them as family! She was happy to leave them with us whilst she ate etc and of course we didn't mind at all. She's had enough now though and is looking forward to being the centre of attention in someone's world. She's learning about not going on tables and kitchen worktops but sometimes she's just too excited to see you and forgets! She is very people focused, loves a cuddle and if you work at home she makes an excellent colleague joining in on Teams calls and just sitting on your lap whilst you type! She was born October 2024 so is still very kitten like, morning zoomies, chasing balls and having fun. I think sensible children over 8 would be fine, she was a bit freaked out by a friend's 2 and 4 year old, so a bit older would be good. There are foster cats that leave a little paw print on your heart and she's definitely one of those. I will miss her loads." Clawdia would love a garden away from busy roads and doesn't like other cats unfortunately! Her kittens are going this weekend so she'll be spayed etc soon. Ping us an email to [email protected] with your address and a contact number if our little mama is the one for you :)
  • Mitzy

Mitzy is a truly special lady - elegant and sweet natured, with a tiny bit of spice. She's a vocal and engaging friend who loves to be where the action is (or at least where you are). She enjoys following me round our home, will be in whatever room I am working from, coming in for the odd snuggle. She is 9 years old but has a playful kittenish side and a wonderfully expressive way of letting you know when she’s ready to play - often with a polite little scream after her nap. She loves wet food, but her real soft spot treat is plain cooked chicken. Lasers, feather wands, and toys that let her chase and pounce are all firm favourites - she's been pretty much an indoor puss but would love a catio or garden away from busy roads. Mitzy came from a home where children didn’t treat her with the kindness she deserved, and before meeting us came from an overwhelming vet visit so she’s learning to trust again. We suspect her sass is her way of keeping herself safe, and she thrives in an environment that respects her boundaries. She’s big on consent - give her a moment to sniff you, go slow, and she’ll reward you with cheek rubs and back pats. She’s not a lap cat just yet, but she does love to sit on your chest and purr her heart out when the world is quiet, either last thing at night or first thing in the morning. Mitzy is looking for a calm, adult-only home (older, gentle teens might be fine) with no dogs or other cats, where ideally someone is around most of the day - she thrives on company and would love to share her days and be best friends with someone who works from home or is retired. She finds comfort in being close at night, so a home where she is welcome to sleep in the bedroom would suit her perfectly. If you’re looking for a beautiful, emotionally intelligent companion who will grow into your heart and bring personality, charm, and a little spark of drama to your life — Mitzy might just be your perfect match Neutered, chipped and vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Miguel

Miguel is 9 years old with a lovely affectionate nature. He absolutely loves spending time with people and will curl up on your lap for some strokes and a snooze as soon as you sit down. He loves cuddles and belly strokes, and enjoys a bit of play time as well. He was originally given up by his owner as he clashed with their other cat so definitely needs to be an only puss now. He's such a delightful character, just full of affection. He likes a variety of food and would love a garden away from busy roads. He's not used to children though may be ok with older teenagers who would respect his boundaries but essentially he's looking for a quieter life where he will get all the attention. Neutered, chipped , vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance. Ping us an email to [email protected] with your address and a contact number if you'd like to say hola to Miguel :)
  • Trixie

Her owner took her on from a neighbour and had her for around 9 years until he suddenly had to leave the country recently. Another little puss who didn't have a clue what was happening and took a few weeks to settle. "Hi I’m Trixie, approx 12 years old. My foster mum says I’m sweet but spicy . I was very shy at first and didn’t know how to act so I wasn’t the friendliest cat but over the weeks I have learned to trust and now I love to climb into bed at night and be stroked to sleep with a huge purrrrrr . I love to play chase with my toys and love to chase the laser pen. I don’t much like to be picked up and I’m not a lap cat ..yet, I'm quite an independent girlie in that regard so I would be best suited to a home where I can come and go with no other pets or young children. I really, really don’t like mum's other cats! I would love a garden away from busy roads to explore as mum says I’m very eager to get out into the big outside world again. I have been to the vets and have a clean bill of health apart from being a bit chonky! In time, with trust and love, I will become your best friend and follow you everywhere." Neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance. If you're looking for a plumpcious panther, please mail us at [email protected] with your address and a contact number :)
  • Max

Max 18 yrs, is an old fellow, but the most playful and energetic, and needs unlimited access to dry food.. He is extremely affectionate and loves spending time on your lap, receiving head rubs, and cuddles. The minute you sit down anywhere he will be on your lap! He has a tablet for his joints (powder into morning food). He’s quite chatty too and announces when he’s off to bed or heading to the litter tray (and after he’s done his business!).
  • Zac

    ,
Zac looking for an indoor home Zac 12 yrs, has been an absolute joy to have as part of the family over the last few years. He absolutely loves attention, and loves nothing more than lots of cuddles, strokes, belly rubs, and brushes – except maybe his food! He loves his dinner and loves to drink from taps when allowed. He can be a little anxious at times which is why he will suit a calm and loving household where he can get lots of attention and affection, and where his human or humans are around a lot of the time. He may not be best suited to a more chaotic household with children/lots of noise, he prefers a quiet life. He recently became very poorly with a blocked bladder but, after undergoing PU surgery (perineal urethrostomy where the urethra is excised and widened), he is now as right as rain . Anyone who gets to become Zac's new forever family is very lucky – he’s a very special boy. Neutered chipped with 5 weeks free insurance please mail us at [email protected] with a contact number for this soppy boy.
  • Woody and Jessie

We're looking for a longterm foster for these lovely cats where BWCR support with medications and vet trips. Sadly their owners' circumstances have changed hugely and they're no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years. 2 senior housecats are looking for a new home Sadly, due to a change in our circumstances, we are seeking a new home for our furry family, and the three need to remain together. They need to have company in the daytime and evenings whenever possible so they won’t be suited to someone who works away from home and goes on lots of holidays. They are strictly house cats; Woody and Jessie have been since birth. They are missing out on the company and love they need, so we want them to go to a home that can give them what they deserve for their remaining years. Ideally, someone who works from home the majority of the time or is retired. They are all fine with children, but no dogs or other cats. They are neutered, microchipped and are up to date with all their vaccinations. It is sad to have to let them go, but we feel it is in their best interest to have the full amount of love and attention we are sadly no longer able to give them. Woody (Jessie’s Brother) 16 yrs, loves company but is not a lap cat. He loves head and chin rubs, and despite being the biggest, is the most timid. Once he gets to know and love you, he will happily lie next to you on the arm of the chair and just purr, looking at you lovingly once he gets to know you. He has the biggest appetite, being the largest of the three. Jessie (Woody’s sister) 16 yrs, is a madam and sees herself as queen of the house. She will try to steal others' food by sticking her head in the lid as it is closing on the automatic feeder. She's overweight due to this, so her food needs to be limited. She can be affectionate when she wants something and does like head and chin rubs. She will sit or lie next to you and purr loudly (she has a very loud purr!) She needs painkillers in the morning (plastic syringe into mouth which she doesn't mind) due to arthritis in her back legs and lower spine, also a tablet for her joints ( powder into morning food) and one for her urinary tract (powder into her morning food). Please mail us at [email protected] if you can offer these senior kittizens their retirement home under BWCR and Fernlea vets in Hanham or Kingswood.
