    Fluffy

Fluffy is two years old and a fun loving cat. She is up for rehoming because her two family members are now working full time and they feel that she is lonely on her own in the house. They would prefer her to go somewhere with more company.  Fluffy likes to laze in the sun and cuddle on your lap. She is also good around children. She is being neutered prior to rehoming and will also be up to date on worming and defleaing.
Fluffy is with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815056120.

    Arthur and Hetty

Arthur and Hetty are an adorable, loving and cuddly 1-year-old brother and sister pair.
Tabby girl Hetty is the more cautious of the two initially, but was out and rubbing round her foster mum's ankles within a couple of days of arriving (after a bit of Dreamie-flavoured bribery!). Arthur, on the other hand, loves everyone, particularly if they have something to eat, and will wrap himself round your ankles for a fuss within moments of meeting you. They're very close, and  like to play together, so would like to go together.
They've been indoors-only until now. We're therefore looking for an indoor home as they'll have zero road sense, or in a perfect world, somewhere that's a long way from any public roads, so that they could have the choice of learning about the big outdoors if they wanted to. Ideally a home with no other pets too, although they'd probably be OK with a calm, non-bouncy dog. Older children would also be fine.
Both come neutered, chipped and with their first vaccination.  They'll also have 5 weeks' free insurance.
    Fostered in Chippenham.

    Max

Max is the snuggliest, cuddliest little panther going - he loves a lap and will meow at you to let him jump up for a fuss.
He's 5 but thinks he's still a kitten and loves to play and chase dangly things; he's quite the little adventurer so needs a garden away from busy roads to have fun in.
He wants to be the 'baby' of the family with all the attention and fuss and you'll get it back in spades!
So no other pets, older children only and lots and lots of laptime please :)
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5weeks free insurance.
  • Beanie

    ,
Beanie is a super little cat who was left behind, pregnant, when her owners were evicted from their flat. Luckily one of our volunteers works for the Council so Beanie was soon headed our way :) She's about 2 years and sweet, gentle and loving. She's fine with children but we don't know about other cats so best she goes as an only puss for lots of spoiling and cuddles. She'd also like a garden away from busy roads. She's been a great mum and her kittens have flown the nest so she's ready for her next chapter now too. Neutered and chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Bella

    ,
Bella is a very chatty, friendly puss and has been a wonderful mum to her kittens. She's 3 years old and has lived happily with children, other cats and nice dogs before so she's pretty bomb-proof and would fit in anywhere. She's very attentive to her babies so not being much of a lapcat at the moment but she'll love some pampering and cuddles once they fly the nest. She'll need a garden away from busy roads and will be spayed and chipped once her milk has gone down. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Toby & Tinker

Two handsome boys who aren't related but love each other! They're about 11 months old and didn't have the best of starts - they were both born outside and didn't have human contact until they were about 4 months old so both are timid. They're also flu carriers - nothing major, just some sneezing and runny eyes but that may flare up with the stress of moving, BWCR will pay for treatment if it does. Those are the negatives, what about the positives? They're gentle boys and very playful- these two party hard and it looks like a bomb's hit their room every morning 🤣 Tinker comes for a fuss and loves to be stroked, Toby is shyer but once you stroke him he turns himself inside out for cuddles. They love their food and can easily be bribed with Dreamies - Toby is excellent with the activity feeder! They just need time to settle in and have more time spent with them and they'll become little Velcro cats - they're desperate for affection but not quite sure how to ask for it. They definitely need a garden away from busy roads as they're desperate to be out and about, older, quieter children would be fine and no other cats as they're flu carriers. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccinations plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Sally

SALLY is desperately in need of a new home as her owner has a serious allergy which is causing her health problems. Sally is 8 years old, neutered, in good health and a pleasant, friendly girl. She would be happy with feline company or as an only cat. Sally is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Barney

BARNEY is a super-friendly boy who likes nothing more than climbing on your lap for a cuddle or following you around the house or garden to see what you're up to! He was found as a skinny stray and is now getting some weight on him. He is neutered and microchipped. Barney is not good with other cats, tending to try to intimidate by standing close and growling, something which could be a result of having to fight for scraps as a stray. With people, though, he is a loving, gentle boy, eager to please! We think Barney is about 6 years old. Barney is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. • Misty

    ,
MISTY, neutered and microchipped, found herself homeless when her family split. She lived rough for some time until she came to our attention. Misty is friendly with everyone and tolerant of all the other cats around her. She is such a pretty girl with lovely facial markings! We think she is around six years old. If you choose Misty you'll never have an empty lap again!! Misty is with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Ollie

OLLIE is an all-black youngster, just over two years old. He is friendly and playful but is not keen on other male cats. He'd be okay with a female, though! Ollie is full of character, liveliness and just a perfect little panther. Neutered, chipped and with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815056120. • Millie

Gentle, sweet Millie loves people but was tormented by the child in her previous home and was very nervous and unhappy. She'd love a quieter home with no young children or other pets where she knows she won't be messed around. She's a lovely little puss who likes a cuddle and a fuss. 3 years old and neutered. • Buzz,& Hashtag & Logo & Meme

Buzz, Hashtag, Logo and Meme kitties are trending right now #findusahome #cuddleus #playwithus :) They're about 14 weeks old and would like to go in pairs to double the fun and adventures. They've never met children but are quite confident so should be fine with older ones and they just want lots of love and snuggles, toys and treats and laps to snooze on #typicalspoiledkitties A garden away from busy roads is a must as they're keen to be out exploring too. • Bagpuss

    ,
Bagpuss, Baggy to his friends, is a gorgeous superfriendly 10 month old boy. He was living in a second floor flat and getting increasingly bored and frustrated, wanting to go out so his owner has made the kind decision to find him a new home where he'll be happier. He's been very loved and is an affectionate boy who would be ok with children. He's fine with other cats but not dogs and needs a safe garden away from busy roads as he's never been outside and won't have a clue about roads and traffic. Neutered and chipped plus comes with 5weeks free insurance. Baggy is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Meet BW! Not so much a lap cat as a proximity cat. Loves people and loves being around anything that's going on. Independent spirit but a massive soft side. Will hunt you down for strokes and scritches. Very playful, loves to chase things! Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Cocoa

The lovely Cocoa is looking for a longterm foster home :) Her owner sadly died but she made the move into foster with hardly a blink - not bad for a 10-12 year old who'd led a sheltered life, she even quite liked the older children. She loves a fuss and cuddle, hates other cats, loves having a mooch in the garden and is just a really sweet puss with a miaow like a very rusty gate! When she arrived we found she was hyperthyroid and she's on Thyronorm twice a day which she takes no problem - you just squirt it in her mouth followed by a cuddle :) We had hoped to remove her thyroid but when the vets tried to operate, they sprayed her larynx with numbing spray as per routine so they could intubate her, and she unfortunately had an adverse reaction where her larynx swelled alarmingly and they had to abandon the op. So she'll need to be on thyroid meds for the rest of her life instead but BWCR will fund these and her regular blood tests at one of our vets. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Oreo

Oreo is a super little cat who loves a fuss and a lap to snuggle on but he doesn't appreciate living with the other cat in the house (the feeling appears to be mutual!) so he's moved in with the neighbours a few doors up. They would love him to stay but their own cat won't entertain the thought - if only cats got on, we'd home so many more 😂 Oreo's owners are happy for him to be rehomed and he'd love a quieter home with lots of fuss and cuddles; no young children or other pets and a garden away from busy roads. 5 yrs old, neutered, chipped and comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Jessie

Beautiful Jessie is still looking for her purrfect home :) She's settled down a lot now in foster and her playful side is showing - she's just an enormous floofy kitten it seems! She can also go outside safely in her own catio (complete with pot of grass that she insists on sitting in!) so she's much more relaxed and a happier puss all round. She likes a fuss and a stroke and even a belly rub but it does tend to be on her terms and she can play rough. She can be bribed with Dreamies though! Jess is 2 years and needs a home with no young children or other pets and a garden away from busy roads is a must as she loves being outside. If you're looking for a more independent puss because you're at work all day with playtime and strokes when you are home then Jess is pretty much purrfect. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Chester & Willow

Very friendly and playful 2 year old brother & sister who lived outside for the first part of their lives but have adjusted well to life indoors. Both have lovely natures and are people orientated but are not used to being handled so will take time to settle in a new home. Would not suit very young children as they are still quite shy but are making good progress and enjoy being smoothed. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Florence

Fancy some floofy tortitude? Then look no further than the beautiful Florence. Just turned 2 yrs, Flo is actually delightful - affectionate, loving, lively and playful but on her terms ...of course! If she thinks you've stroked her a nanosecond too long she will let you know with a lovebite and she doesn't like being groomed. Little and often is the name of the game theŕe with bribery in the form of Dreamies :) She was given up as she didn't like the new baby and, unsurprisingly, this little diva doesn't like other pets either. So an adult-only home or one with older, bossycat-savvy, children is needed plus a garden away from busy roads as she's keen to be out and about again. Her divaness may improve once she can expend some energy in the garden! She really is a lovely puss with 'character' 🤣 Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Nomad

Nomad is ready for his new home. The stitches are out, the wound is healed, the cone is off - he's just a bit drafty round the derriere until his fur grows back! He's guesstimated at 3 yrs and he's lived on the streets for a while so he's getting used to being a pet cat again. He doesn't 'do' toys at the moment but that may come but he loves a fuss and will chat to you especially when he wants his tea! He uses a litter tray perfectly and is a really easy, undemanding puss. We've spoken to several people and it seems his territory was large - at least four houses have been feeding him and he's been regularly crossing the superbusy Two Mile Hill Rd. So..we don't want his new territory to overlap with his old at all as he'll just carry on where he left off and he may not be so fortunate in only losing his tail next time. With this in mind we won't rehome him within 5 miles of the Kingsway/Two Mile Hill Rd area. He seems fine with other cats and has been a model patient - no grumpiness even though he was in a lot of pain and very sweet at the vets. No young children as his rear end will be sensitive for a while and definitely a garden away from busy roads! Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Milo&Brecon

Mylo and Brecon are 3yr old best friends who love to playfight and groom each other and snuggle up in an exhausted heap together. They're not brothers but they love each other . Mylo is superchilled and loves rubbing round your legs and laying on his back for cuddles; Brecon is more timid and will probably hide behind the sofa at first but a stroke of his velvet nose will bring him out and then he loves a fuss. They were given up as they were very stressed by the arrival of a new baby so they'd really like a quieter adult-only home again. They're crying at the windows to go out so need a garden away from busy roads - fostermum would be adopting them herself if she had a garden! Mylo (black) suffers with gingivitis (sore, red gums) and has had several teeth out; he's not a flu carrier so the vets aren't sure of the cause and at his check up last week they recommended to just leave them alone. As they may flare up in future and he can't be insured for it, BWCR will pay for his dental treatment at one of our vets if necessary. Both are neutered, chipped, vaccinated and come with 5 weeks free insurance. Fostered in Swindon. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Susie

How do you solve a problem like Susie? Susie is a 5 year old super floof who is pretty, funny and can be very sweet. She loves to ride on your shoulder or drink from your glass and she will often trot round after her foster mum at the weekends overseeing her doing chores – she especially loves to “help” foster mum make the bed. On the flip side of this, Susie has attachment and jealousy issues and can be grumpy when she doesn’t get her own way – she will growl at the cat flap until you open the back door for her for example. She has been rehomed with a couple as an only cat but had to be returned as she lashed out a few times but she was ok when only one of them was around. She has settled back into foster just fine and is living with foster mum and her 4 friendly boy cats. She will have the odd hiss at the other cats (especially the kittens as they dart passed her playing games) but other times she will kiss them – she’s a real diva!! Issues aside, she is fairly easy to look after, eating mainly cat biscuits with the odd small meal of wet food, she uses the litter tray fine and loves a box to sleep in – and if it’s a bit too small for her or has the ironing in it, even better. Because of her past behaviour, we are looking for someone who is very cat confident and who can give her routine and discipline. She is probably best with one human but she could be rehomed with other cats provided they are easy going and there is room for them to all have their own space. She does like to go outside but doesn't go far and will repel all feline intruders from 'her' garden 😂 If you are interested in meeting Susie, please contact us. She is neutered, chipped and up to date with her vaccinations.
  • George

Gorgeous George is looking for a quiet, stress-free home. His owner is ‘gutted’ that she has to give him up but she knows he won't cope well when a baby arrives in a few months time. He’s about 12 and she rescued him 5 years ago – he hadn’t been handled much up until then and can still be nervous around people - he especially finds feet a bit scary so he may have been kicked... He does love company though (one to one suits him just fine) and likes his back stroked and his chin scratched especially when you’re lying in bed with him. He loves sitting next to you gazing up at you adoringly – his eyesight isn’t perfect due to hitting his head in the past but you’d never know. He does suffer with IBS but is absolutely fine on a grain-free diet, with no symptoms, and he is insured and that can be transferred to a new owner. So... our lovely ginge is looking for a garden away from busy roads and a quiet adult-only home with no other pets. He’s neutered and chipped and still with his owner to save him the extra stress of a move into foster. Gorgeous George is looking for a quiet, stress-free home. • Arlo & Gus

Cat name: Arlo & Gus Cat age: 2 (Arlo) & 1 (Gus) Cat colour: Tabby/white & black/white Cat breed: DSH Location: Bristol Good with children? Older children only (10+) Good with cats? No Good with dogs? No Need outside space? Yes Chipped? Yes Vaccination status: None Neutered? Yes The biography: Neutered and chipped 2 year old father Arlo (tabby & white) & 1 year old son Gus (black & white). Arlo is confident and loves fuss while Gus is quite shy but making good progress. Both have lovely natures but would not suit young children as Arlo especially is excitable and likes to nip occasionally. They love their food but are greedy at the moment so mealtimes and food availability need to be carefully managed but both are making progress. They have lived with another cat but are best as a pair on their own. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Spongey

Spongey is lovely. She can be super affectionate, she meyowls at the door to greet me when I come home from work. She jumps on me at night and cuddles in. She Sometimes wonders about with a toy mouse at about 6 in the morning, yowling her head off only to come visit me in bed, if i call her to find out what the meyowls are about, and then gives me the toy mouse as a present. She has the softest thick black fur and occasionally will roll over to reveal a white patch on her belly that looks a bit like a bikini. She likes to be near too and follows me about the house telling me all about what's been happening. She has the sweetest chirrup when I fuss her.. Ideally would like her to have a home where someone is about, she doesn't like other cats but does like people. She can get exacerbated with too much fuss, but has been a lot better the longer she's been with me and now the cat buddy she came in with has gone. They didn't like each other.
  • Tia

4 year old spayed and chipped very fluffy female who has lived outside for most of her life but has adjusted well to life indoors. Very shy but has a lovely nature. Would not suit very young children but is making good progress and is happy to be around people . Tia was part of a small group of cats and so is very good with other cats and would best be homed as a companion to a friendly domestic cat that she can learn from. • Reuben

Very friendly but very shy 5 year old neutered and chipped male. He loves a good fuss but is easily startled so will need a quieter home and to be able settle at his own pace. He is very good with other cats and would benefit from living with a more confident cat.
