Tashie

Tashie is the second of the cats rescued by Simona in Romania :) She's 6 and a total lovebug who smooches and headbutts you and is desperate for attention. She's fine with other cats so long as there is space - she likes Milo but if he tries to share her shelf she'll tell him off in no uncertain terms. She can be a bossy little madam! Again, she's been living rurally and has never met traffic so needs a super safe location away from busy roads. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated, has a pet passport plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.

Jez

Jez is only 1 yr old and a right little cheeky chappy. He hadn't met children before and was a bit nervous of them to begin with but he soon realised they actually make great playmates. He's desperate to be outside adventuring and is turning into a bit of an escape artist- he's worked out how to unlock the front door! This bright young man would love lots of cuddles and lots of playtime and a garden away from busy roads where he'd be happy to amuse himself whilst you're at work all day. We can't cat-test him unfortunately so best as an only puss. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes 5 weeks free insurance. Kissy

Kissy is a lovely 2.5 year old black & white piebald. When she first meets you she might be a bit of a scaredy cat, but once she settles in she is very loving and playful. She is a very easy cat to look after, she doesn't make any noise and is very patient when it comes to feeding time. She is happy to use a litter tray and doesn't scratch the furniture or deposit her fur anywhere! She always comes to greet you when you come home, loves a good head scratch and doesn't mind being picked up. She enjoys being around people and likes to sit next to you on the sofa in the evening. She can be shy with new people so a busy/noisy household or young children would not be ideal. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Kylo

We have another little panther looking for a home :) Kylo is about 2 yrs old and was another un-neutered boy living on the streets; he was understandably a bit overwhelmed to begin with but he loves his home comforts now. He's very bouncy and loves to play - he'll turn anything into a toy! It took him a couple of weeks to settle but he adores a fuss and cuddle now and would like to be the only puss in a quieter home - young children would be too much for him. He'd also like a garden away from busy roads though hopefully his adventuring has been curtailed a bit with the removal of his 'bits'! Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Luna

Meet LUNA, an indoor cat who came to Eildor Rescue through no fault of her own. She is 2 years old, has been neutered and microchipped. Luna is looking for a home with no other cats or dogs and with older children. She will require regular grooming to prevent her fur matting. Luna is a big cat who, once settled, will be your best friend. She loves to greet and follow you and although not a lap cat is happy to sit next to you and nudges you for attention. Luna has always been an indoor cat, she is very clean with her litter tray and will be the perfect addition to the right family. Luna is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. With Eileen in Aberdare 07815056120 Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Milo

In a rural area of Romania there's a single rescuer called Simona who works tirelessly against horrendous cruelty and neglect to save as many animals as she can - she now has over 300 cats, dogs, horses, goats and donkeys in her care with more arriving every day..if they're the lucky ones. And she has a full time job too :( She's at breaking point so we've brought 3 of her cats into foster - a tiny drop in the ocean sadly... Meet Milo - smoochy, cuddly and adorable, he loves a fuss, likes his belly being rubbed and will chat away happily to you. The 45hr road trip from Craiova didn't phase him at all. He's fine with cats, dogs, children, horses..! He's about 3 yrs and has no awareness of roads and traffic so needs a super safe location away from busy roads. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated, has a pet passport plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Lilly&Fifi

,
Do you like things to come in matching pairs? If so, then Lily and Fifi are the girls for you 😽😽 A mog-nificent pair of tortoiseshell litter twins, they're about 2 years old, and are virtually identical, apart from a ginger stripe down Lily's nose. See if you can spot who's who from the photos! Neither of them could be described as small and dainty - the vet actually said that Fifi could do with losing a pound or two (ssshh, don't tell her!). We're sure she'll burn that off pretty quickly though once she's able to get out and play more. Both of them love a snuggle, a fuss and a play, although Fifi is probably the more confident of the two. They came in with their Aunty Rita (no relation), but she's not taking any of that naughty tortie nonsense and rules them with a bit of a rod of iron - especially when there's food around - so they'd quite like a home of their own now, if that's OK... They've been used to having outdoor access, so will be looking for somewhere with a safe outdoor space to play in. They have also lived happily with younger humans, and we'd say would be fine with animal-friendly school age children. Lily and Fifi are neutered, microchipped and have had their first vaccination, and will come with 5 weeks' free insurance. Fostered in Chippenham. • Eva

Small (2kg) spayed and chipped 11 year old female. Suffers from chronic but not serious health issues and so needs to be an indoor cat. Her health issues are being managed by a visit once every 6 months to a Bristol vet and this cost would continue to be covered. Happy to sleep most of the time but very purry at food time. Does sometimes enjoy laps but mostly happy to be left alone and could live with other cats. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Pipkin

PIPKIN needs a home! This absolutely handsome boy has come in off the streets where he was a real thug with other males. He's a youngster who felt he had to fight everything to survive. Now he is neutered and safe. Pipkin is very affectionate with people. He loves a fuss and a cuddle! He'd enjoy being an only cat or perhaps with a neutered female.
Pipkin is with Eileen in Aberdare- please contact her direct on 07815056120.
• Redford

REDFORD is available for adoption. We think this lovely lad is about a year or two old. He's gentle and friendly, uses his litter tray and seems very grateful to have shelter and regular meals. He came to us with a massive wound on his neck from getting into scrapes as an unneutered male. He is now neutered and the wound is healing.
Redford is with Eileen in Aberdare - please contact her direct on 07815057120.
• Buddy

,
Buddy in the sink being a cool dude 😃
He's a big lad, two yrs old in November.
He's lovely and enjoys a fuss, can be picked up and plonked on your lap for kisses and cuddles but when he gets bored he sees you as the world's biggest cat toy!
His ears go back and he stalks you and leaps on you for the kill - he never breaks the skin and a firm 'no' mostly stops him though sometimes it's several 'noes' in increasing volume 😂😂
His size makes him a bit intimidating until you realise he's actually not half as brave as he thinks he is. Once he's in a new home with access to outside he'll be fine - he just needs more to occupy him.
He definitely needs a cat-savvy owner and no young children or other pets but if you like a cat with character he's lovely - he's also very vocal.
A garden away from busy roads is a must too.
He'd be staying if fostermum didn't already have too many moggies!
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Buttons

We think buttons is around 14 years old. She is in excellent health. She has lived with us for around 6 months previously she lived with an elderly lady for 10 years and was a companion cat who was very much loved. At first buttons got along with our other cats fine but recently she has started bullying the youngest more timid cat and hence needs a new home as we cannot keep both. Buttons is a loving cat who takes a little while to get to know you but once she has attached herself to you she will follow you around the house and sit next to you. She has never sat on a lap before but always close with her head on my foot purring away. Buttons loves a catnip toy and she likes to go outside but never goes far. She has beautiful soft fur and likes a head rub and when she trust you will let you tickle her tummy. She gets on fine with my more confident cats but not with with a younger more timid cat. She is a bit of a princess but the most beautiful one.
• Jeeves

,
Jeeves joined us at the beginning of the week after a transient time since being abandoned, however he's settled very quickly and is happy to be in a home. He is 3 years old and has a beautifully glossy shorthaired black and white coat, which makes him look very smart. Jeeves is incredibly friendly and loves to snuggle close and give lots of kisses. He also loves to natter and will welcome you home and happily chat about his day! He loves dinner time and will make best of friends with whoever feeds him. He spends lots of time looking through windows so would love a safe outdoor garden space to explore. Due to his friendly nature he would enjoy the love from adults and children alike. He's not met any other cats and dogs and so we are not sure how he will react to them, therefore ideally a home where he doesn't have to share the love (or his food) would be preferable! He is chipped, neutered and has started his vaccinations. Comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Bella

,
Lovely Bella is looking for a quieter home with the option to have a sunbathe when she feels like it; she tends to stay close to home and prefers indoors in the Winter! Bella is a timid puss and doesn't like to be picked up but will come and sit beside you or on your lap for a fuss; it just takes a little time for her to get to know you. She'd like no children or other pets and someone all to herself to let her little personality blossom. 7 yrs. Neutered and had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Rita

We could play guess the age of the cat with Rita here, but you'd never believe us if we told you (even the vet didn't!). She's actually around 14, but the lovely vet said she has the body and constitution of a 10-year-old 😸 Rita was terribly pleased. She's a happy, friendly, bright, affectionate pyjama case of a cat, who loves being with her humans for chats, cuddles and treats. For this reason, she'd be ideally suited to someone that's around for much of the day, although she doesn't mind being left and is happy to snooze until someone's home to talk to. Rita came in with a couple of other young cats, but would really like to find a home now without other cats, where she can be the centre of attention. She's calm but confident, so would be OK with a gentle, cat-friendly dog that knows its place! She has also lived with children, and would be happy with young humans over about 9 / 10 years old. A safe outdoor space is a must for her too, as she's had access to outdoors. Rita's microchipped, has had her first vaccination, and will come with 5 weeks' free insurance. She now just needs her permanent lap, food dispenser and fuss-giver. Fostered in Chippenham. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Bud

Bud is a boisterous, bouncy black boy who is apparently part Bengal – he certainly does like to chat! He is a very active and playful chap who is happy to play with foster mum until her arm is sore from waving his favourite chase toy for him to run after. After that he sprawls down on the floor at her feet. He can be a little shy to begin with and startled by loud noises but he soon settles down and does like a good head scratch. Bud is either 3 or less than 1 depending on your point of view because this boy is a February 29th cat! He was born 29th February 2016 so you will need to decide if his birthday will be 28h February or 1st March – he isn’t fussy either way. Bud isn’t a lap cat but he does like to follow you about if he can. He’ll need a garden away from busy roads as he is a big cat at just over 5 kg so he will need space to run off his excess energy. He is best with no young children and not too busy a household as strange visitors make him hide a bit. He would be fine to live with another friendly cat though. Bud is neutered, chipped and his second vaccination will be done on 29th August. He comes with 5weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Mog

Marvellous Mog..... The seriously cute Mog was with a wonderful family who loved her dearly however, their baby was unfortunately allergic so sadly had to give her up and handed her into the RSPCA. It was there we found out she had a history and had been with BWCR as a foster after she had a car accident causing a broken leg. Mog is now super fighting fit and an absolute pleasure. She is very chatty, affectionate and she is fine with children. She absolutely loves cuddles. Mog is a hunter so she will need a garden away from busy roads so she can really express her natural instincts. 6 years old, chipped, vaccinated, plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Beanie

,
Beanie is a super little cat who was left behind, pregnant, when her owners were evicted from their flat. Luckily one of our volunteers works for the Council so Beanie was soon headed our way :) She's about 2 years and sweet, gentle and loving. She's fine with children but we don't know about other cats so best she goes as an only puss for lots of spoiling and cuddles. She'd also like a garden away from busy roads. She's been a great mum and her kittens have flown the nest so she's ready for her next chapter now too. Neutered and chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Sally

SALLY is desperately in need of a new home as her owner has a serious allergy which is causing her health problems. Sally is 8 years old, neutered, in good health and a pleasant, friendly girl. She would be happy with feline company or as an only cat. Sally is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Barney

BARNEY is a super-friendly boy who likes nothing more than climbing on your lap for a cuddle or following you around the house or garden to see what you're up to! He was found as a skinny stray and is now getting some weight on him. He is neutered and microchipped. Barney is not good with other cats, tending to try to intimidate by standing close and growling, something which could be a result of having to fight for scraps as a stray. With people, though, he is a loving, gentle boy, eager to please! We think Barney is about 6 years old. Barney is with Eileen in Aberdare so please contact her direct on 07815056120. • Nomad

Nomad is ready for his new home. The stitches are out, the wound is healed, the cone is off - he's just a bit drafty round the derriere until his fur grows back! He's guesstimated at 3 yrs and he's lived on the streets for a while so he's getting used to being a pet cat again. He doesn't 'do' toys at the moment but that may come but he loves a fuss and will chat to you especially when he wants his tea! He uses a litter tray perfectly and is a really easy, undemanding puss. We've spoken to several people and it seems his territory was large - at least four houses have been feeding him and he's been regularly crossing the superbusy Two Mile Hill Rd. So..we don't want his new territory to overlap with his old at all as he'll just carry on where he left off and he may not be so fortunate in only losing his tail next time. With this in mind we won't rehome him within 5 miles of the Kingsway/Two Mile Hill Rd area. He seems fine with other cats and has been a model patient - no grumpiness even though he was in a lot of pain and very sweet at the vets. No young children as his rear end will be sensitive for a while and definitely a garden away from busy roads! Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Milo&Brecon

Mylo and Brecon are 3yr old best friends who love to playfight and groom each other and snuggle up in an exhausted heap together. They're not brothers but they love each other . Mylo is superchilled and loves rubbing round your legs and laying on his back for cuddles; Brecon is more timid and will probably hide behind the sofa at first but a stroke of his velvet nose will bring him out and then he loves a fuss. They were given up as they were very stressed by the arrival of a new baby so they'd really like a quieter adult-only home again. They're crying at the windows to go out so need a garden away from busy roads - fostermum would be adopting them herself if she had a garden! Mylo (black) suffers with gingivitis (sore, red gums) and has had several teeth out; he's not a flu carrier so the vets aren't sure of the cause and at his check up last week they recommended to just leave them alone. As they may flare up in future and he can't be insured for it, BWCR will pay for his dental treatment at one of our vets if necessary. Both are neutered, chipped, vaccinated and come with 5 weeks free insurance. Fostered in Swindon. Brecon and Milo can be housed separately or together as they just ignore each other Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Susie

How do you solve a problem like Susie? Susie is a 5 year old super floof who is pretty, funny and can be very sweet and loving. She loves to ride on your shoulder or drink from your glass and she will often trot round after her foster mum at the weekends overseeing her doing chores – she especially loves to “help” foster mum make the bed. Susie came to us because she has attachment and jealousy issues and can be grumpy when she doesn’t get her own way – she will growl or hiss at the cat flap until you open the back door for her for example and then “meep” sweetly at you if you do open the door for her. She has been rehomed with a couple as an only cat but had to be returned as she lashed out a few times. This generally happened when she was with one of them and the other came into the room but she was ok when only one of them was around. She settled back into foster living with foster mum and her 4 friendly boy cats and she has only lashed out once and that was after being chased indoors by a neighbour’s cat. She will have the odd hiss at foster mum’s cats but other times she will kiss them – she’s a real diva!! Issues aside, she is fairly easy to look after, eating mainly cat biscuits with the odd small meal of wet food, she uses the litter tray fine and loves a box to sleep in – and if it’s a bit too small for her or has the ironing in it, even better. Because of her past behaviour, we are looking for someone who is very cat confident and who can give her routine and discipline. She is probably best with one human but she could be rehomed with other cats provided they are easy going and there is room for them to all have their own space. For a suitable potential owner we would offer the chance of a trial period that if unsuccessful would mean Susie would go back to the same foster home and her current foster mum is happy to provide support and guidance as needed. Susie, is chipped, neutered and vaccinated so if you are interested in meeting her, please contact us. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • George

Gorgeous George is looking for a quiet, stress-free home. His owner is ‘gutted’ that she has to give him up but she knows he won't cope well when a baby arrives in a few months time. He’s about 12 and she rescued him 5 years ago – he hadn’t been handled much up until then and can still be nervous around people - he especially finds feet a bit scary so he may have been kicked... He does love company though (one to one suits him just fine) and likes his back stroked and his chin scratched especially when you’re lying in bed with him. He loves sitting next to you gazing up at you adoringly – his eyesight isn’t perfect due to hitting his head in the past but you’d never know. He does suffer with IBS but is absolutely fine on a grain-free diet, with no symptoms, and he is insured and that can be transferred to a new owner. So... our lovely ginge is looking for a garden away from busy roads and a quiet adult-only home with no other pets. He’s neutered and chipped and still with his owner to save him the extra stress of a move into foster. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Arlo & Gus

Cat name: Arlo & Gus Cat age: 2 (Arlo) & 1 (Gus) Cat colour: Tabby/white & black/white Cat breed: DSH Location: Bristol Good with children? Older children only (10+) Good with cats? No Good with dogs? No Need outside space? Yes Chipped? Yes Vaccination status: None Neutered? Yes The biography: Neutered and chipped 2 year old father Arlo (tabby & white) & 1 year old son Gus (black & white). Arlo is confident and loves fuss while Gus is quite shy but making good progress. Both have lovely natures but would not suit young children as Arlo especially is excitable and likes to nip occasionally. They love their food but are greedy at the moment so mealtimes and food availability need to be carefully managed but both are making progress. They have lived with another cat but are best as a pair on their own. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Spongey short for Victoria Sponge Cake

Spongey is lovely. She can be super affectionate, she meyowls at the door to greet me when I come home from work. She jumps on me at night and cuddles in. She Sometimes wonders about with a toy mouse at about 6 in the morning, yowling her head off only to come visit me in bed, if i call her to find out what the meyowls are about, and then gives me the toy mouse as a present. She has the softest thick black fur and occasionally will roll over to reveal a white patch on her belly that looks a bit like a bikini. She likes to be near too and follows me about the house telling me all about what's been happening. She has the sweetest chirrup when I fuss her.. Ideally would like her to have a home where someone is about, she doesn't like other cats but does like people. She can get exacerbated with too much fuss, but has been a lot better the longer she's been with me and now the cat buddy she came in with has gone. They didn't like each other.
• Tia

4 year old spayed and chipped very fluffy female who has lived outside for most of her life but has adjusted well to life indoors. Very shy but has a lovely nature. Would not suit very young children but is making good progress and is happy to be around people . Tia was part of a small group of cats and so is very good with other cats and would best be homed as a companion to a friendly domestic cat that she can learn from. • Reuben

Very friendly but very shy 5 year old neutered and chipped male. He loves a good fuss but is easily startled so will need a quieter home and to be able settle at his own pace. He is very good with other cats and would benefit from living with a more confident cat.
