    Coco Tortie

    ,
Coco the gentle tortie 💜 Coco came from a home with children, her feline brother and neighbouring cats who would bully her as she's so sweet. She was incredibly stressed and was overgrooming and suffering bouts of stress cystitis so her owner made the right decision to rehome her. "Coco is an affectionate cat looking for a quiet home. She came to us from a noisy home that she shared with children and other pets. Once a nervous cat with an overgrooming habit, she has now turned a corner. Her fur has now mostly recovered, although she still can become nervous around mysterious sounds! Over the past few months, she has grown in confidence. Now she enjoys nothing more than napping on your desk while you work, or curling up next to you on the sofa. She may never be a lap cat, but this doesn't mean she won't be far away, so she can receive a good ear scratch and tummy tickle. At 10 years old, she is still full of (Cocoa) beans. There is only one toy in Coco's life: her trusty string! She loves to pounce after it day after day. She would love to explore the outside world, especially if there are pigeons to keep an eye on. But for now, she will keep pouncing at the window in the hope they will want to play. She'd love a garden away from busy roads with not too many neighbouring cats around. This friendly little cat is always on the search for the next best space to nap, be it on the windowsill, on top of the kitchen cupboards, under the bed. Although this little diva can be tempted out of her slumber to the shake of some Dreamies or the smell of ham! She currently takes a daily Cystaid tablet to prevent cystitis (costs around £8 per month online). Despite having a previous history of this, we have had no issues. Another good thing to note - Coco will easily take pills when they are wrapped in ham without any problems! She now needs a quiet adult-only home with no other pets." Neutered, chipped, vaccinated, had a dental plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Coco

    Cutie pie Coco 💜
Coco is roughly one year old and is a thoroughly lovely and very beautiful grey tabby. She's quite a chonk too but claims she's "big-boned"!
Coco is very inquisitive and likes to know what’s going on. Her main interests are staring at things, especially out of the window. She is also keen on chasing string or shadows and lounging on the floor. A quiet garden away from a busy road would be perfect for her to spend time exploring in
She is affectionate. Coco warmed to us very quickly and was sitting on laps within a few days. She particularly likes lying on the floor and having her back scratched (but isn’t so keen on having her belly rubbed). Coco likes fuss to be on her terms and lets you know when she’s had enough. This means that she wouldn’t be suited to living in a house with young children, but she’d perfect to live with adults or a family with older children.
She is quiet and meows to let you know she wants something. She is very well behaved, immediately getting used to using her litter tray and scratching post.  Her previous owners said that she can be very territorial so this little diva would benefit from being the only cat in the home.
Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.

    Wolfgang

    ,
Very friendly and confident boy, loves humans and to flop into your arms for cuddles, or sit in a lap, he’s curious, inquisitive, plays and does zoomies until he drops as he has lots of crazy kitten energy to expend! Wolfie needs to find an understanding family that will give him his forever home as he has already had 3 homes (including current foster)at such a young age. He is boisterous and still needs to learn boundaries as he was taken away from mum and siblings too young so he’s still learning how to play nice. He can be bitey but only in play; hide and seek is his favourite and he will hide behind things and jump out on his humans when least expecting it. He’s great fun. He would be fine with other cats as long as they’re older. He may bully or be too overpowering for a younger sibling. Same with young children that won’t understand that kittens bite when they play." He definitely needs a garden away from busy roads too as he's such a live wire. Had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Ocito and Tosino

Otherwise known as Yin and Yang, these adorable brothers are full of mischief!
4 months old and raring to go, they love to play and have masses of energy and would love to be outside chasing flies so a garden away from busy roads is a must.
When they're tired they'll happily fall asleep on your lap or your chest. They love a fuss and are just the sweetest boys.
They'd be fine with older children but may need a few days to settle in - if you play with them they soon forget any nerves though.
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
Ocito did seem to become little breathless when he played too hard and he's had a work up at the vet - chest X ray etc -  but they can find nothing wrong with him at all and it seems to have stopped now.

  • Pushkin

    ,
    Purrfect Pushkin 💜
Pushkin is a beautiful 6 yr old puss who is so friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets.
Pushkin came from an elderly couple so likes the quieter side of life and would be ideal for a home without any children and no other pets. She is extremely affectionate and within 20 mins of arriving she was already sat on my lap purring for attention without any shyness - in the early days she does only like the attention to be on her terms but when she opens up she is happy to be approached for attention.
It does take her a few days to get used to new environments and she likes to have a safe dark space which she can retreat to, to sleep and watch but will happily come out when she's ready and find a warm lap to sit on.
She is a beautiful, delightful and inquisitive cat who deserves a caring home to go to. She'd love a garden away from busy roads but we don't think she'd go far.
Pushkin does have a slightly larger iris in her right eye that the vet believes is a genetic quirk,  however it does need to be monitored just in case and BWCR will fund treatment, if needed, at one of our vets.
Presumed neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Sadly her owner died so info was scarce but the vets think she's been spayed - if she does come into season let us know
  • Nox

    ,
    Meet Nox 💜
Nox is a very chilled cat, who is well behaved and has settled quickly into our home. He is a little attention seeker, and will let you know when he wants belly rubs and pets, as he'll plop himself on the floor or sofa in front of you and demand attention.
He isn't interested in any of the toys we bought him and much prefers chasing a piece of string!  He is very gentle if you feed him treats and he will lick your fingers to make sure he gets every last crumb.
He will wake you up with a meow and letting you know that you need to feed him his breakfast! He likes having a chat with us, especially when he feels like he needs attention or food! He isn't a lap cat, but he will snuggle up beside you and lean on you :)
We don't know what he is like around children, but he has a very good temperament, is tolerant and takes himself away when things get too much for him, so we think he'd fit in with most families with older children. He'd like to be an only puss though and he needs a garden away from busy roads as he seems to be itching to go outside!
About 5 yrs, neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Lucy

    ,
Lucy the live wire 💜 She's just been spayed, they said. Keep her quiet, they said. No chance with this little Madam! Six months old, Lucy was quiet and nervous when she first arrived; she'd previously been with her mum who bullied her so, now she's on her own she's a happy little soul and raring to go. She loves to play, climb, balance on the TV 😬 but will then happily snooze on your lap. She'll definitely need a garden away from busy roads as she's so boisterous and older children would be fine to help wear her out! She much prefers being an only puss and having all the attention. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Xena

Quiet stess-free home needed for our little warrior princess 💜 Xena is a very friendly, playful and adventurous1 year old long haired female. She's very people orientated and enjoys being smoothed and is getting used to laps and being picked up. She wouldn't suit very young children as she has had stress induced (ie non-epileptic) seizures when being handled so needs to be carefully monitored. These incidents have disappeared since Xena has been separated from her siblings and her confidence has greatly increased so she needs to be an only cat in a quiet household to keep her stress levels as low as possible . No treatment or tests have been carried out or are planned though any related treatment/costs would be covered by vets in East Bristol. The aim is for Xena to be able to go outside, rather than be an indoor only cat, but this would need to be very controlled so that any problems could be easily dealt with though none are anticipated due to the progress that she has made. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Parker

Parker rocking the pirate look 💜 Parker is a 9-year-old boy who sadly lost one eye to cancer. Unfortunately, his previous owner was no longer able to look after him and he’s now looking for a new owner to cuddle up to. He is a big boy who enjoys his food and is just about to get used to his managed diet though the odd treat is always welcome! He can be quite vocal at times, particularly when he is hungry and wants your attention, and has had the ‘zoomies’ in the evening on a few occasions. Though I don’t hear a peep from him when I go to bed until I start moving in the morning and only then he shouts for breakfast! He has an incredibly loud purr which is lovely. He’s not yet sat on my lap but I know he was a lap cat with his previous owner and he enjoys cuddling up next to me on the sofa. He can be playful with his toys and scratching post but is generally a big lazy softie. He is clearly desperate to go outside and needs a garden away from busy roads. His previous owner advised he is unable to live with children and he's never lived with other cats so would prefer to stay the only pampered prince in your life. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Bub

Bug needs an understanding home 💜 Bug was originally adopted from the RSPCA in March 2016, they thought he was about 8 months old and had been a stray - he's a big puss with a big personality. He is a constant tail wagger, most of the time he likes a head rub, or he will jump on the kitchen table then onto your shoulder if he wants a cuddle, he's pretty agile! He does get grumpy and will scratch or bite if you give him attention when he is not up for it so you need to read the signs and he needs an adult-only home with no other pets. So far, so typical but unfortunately some things changed during lockdown which really stressed him out and made him miserable: The neighbours got 2 new kittens and a strange cat also started appearing in the garden and they all came into the house at night, stealing his food, bullying him and spraying on his territory :( Then a new baby arrived and Bug started pulling his fur out with the stress of it all and hissing and spitting at himself to vent his frustration. Poor Bug just wants a quiet life like he had before, preferably with not many cats in the neighbourhood and definitely none that will steal his supper! He'd like a garden away from busy roads where he can rule the roost again. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Simba

Soppy puddytat who likes to think he's a lion 💜 Simba is a 2-year-old tabby cat with the playfulness of a kitten, and the appetite of a lion. He is full of energy and loves to play all the time. He loves running and jumping after ribbons, balls, pens, cables or anything you shake in front of him. If you are busy, he is more than happy to entertain himself, but he is not afraid to sit on your lap and demand attention with the loudest purrs, even if you have something else like a laptop on there already. He is very affectionate and loves to give you gentle headbutts, especially in the morning when he is asking for breakfast. He needs a home with no other pets and a quiet garden with few or no other cats as he frequently tries to fight with the neighbouring cats through the glass door and gets agitated simply by their presence. Simba is best suited to an adult-only home as he gets stressed out by children - he's not as brave as he likes to think he is! He does need someone who can spend a fair amount of time playing with him and helping to burn off some of that excess energy. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Bruce

    ,
Meet the lovely Bruce 💜 Bruce was another unchipped, un-neutered boy who found himself a kindhearted person for food and shelter for a few months. After major efforts to trace an owner with no result, Bruce was brought in to foster. He spent the first night hiding under the bed but from then on he has been very affectionate. He's happy to be picked up and cuddled and at other times he will choose to hop up on your lap for attention. When he's had enough he will go into another room for a nap or sit in the windowsill watching the world go by. He loves to sleep on the end of your bed but will wake you early for food. He is also happy to sleep in another room and wait to be let out in the morning. He had two damaged teeth so has had a dental to remove them. Once a starving stray always a starving stray! He does tend still to eat far too quickly on occasion causing him to regurgitate his food but this can be avoided by giving small amounts at a time (half a pouch several times a day). Raising his plate slightly off the floor also helps. Bruce would be happy in a household where there is lots going on. He's a cat who loves to be involved in 'stuff' and just adores people and will follow you around. He's eager to go out so needs a garden in a safe location away from busy roads. He could be happily homed with a family with older children (not toddlers unfortunately) but we don't know what he's like with other animals so best as an only pet - he wants ALL the attention anyway! About 2 yrs old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Belle & Cogsworth & Sultan

    ,
Special little Trio looking for a home together. Belle, Cogsworth and Sultan are 3 gorgeous kittens looking for their new home, though Belle isn't from the same litter they have become firm friends in a very short space of time. Belle (black/white 10 week old girl) was found wandering the streets all alone, understandably a bit shy when she first came in to foster it didn't take her long to get used to her home comforts and become the very playful loving kitten she is now, though she can still be a bit shy with strangers and jumpy with with loud noises. She's not much of a lap cat preferring to either curl up with the boys or by herself but is happy for a fuss and more so to play with anyone that's available Cogsworth and Sultan are 12 week old brothers, these boys are super affectionate and love a lap to sleep in, not the best if you work from home as a laptop is just as good. Both the boys like Belle can be shy when meeting new people so would be best in a pet free, adult only home or with teenagers as they really aren't keen on young children, dogs or other cats. They will need access to a garden away from busy roads. All 3 have had their 1st vaccination. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue?
