Bourneville

Bournville has been living in a lady's garden since February, matted and hungry; she paper collared him but had no response and then discovered he was chipped. Despite several calls and texts his owners have never responded and it seems he may have been left behind when they moved :( Onwards and upwards Mr B! "Bournville is a handsome fluff monster who loves a cuddle and is quite a chattyman. He's only 3, very playful and was friendly with the lady's own male cat so could potentially live with another cat. He's pretty chilled so children could be ok too and he'd love a garden away from busy roads." Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Stripey

Any tabby lovers out there? 💜 Stripey is a handsome Tabby Bengal mix, approx 13 years old. He came into foster after his elderly owner went into hospital and has been with us for 6 months now. He was extremely anxious when he first arrived but has now become much more social and confident. He would thrive in a quiet home with perhaps an older person or couple with no children or other pets. He's used to being the centre of someone's world but he's not needy - he's quite happy to entertain himself if you're not home. He's a sweet, gentle, loving boy and adores a chin scritch - his most favourite thing. He's not a lap cat but loves to snuggle next to you on the settee or bed, just make sure you always have one hand free for those chin tickles though! Lastly, he would love a garden away from busy roads as he's used to going out. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Molly

Molly the mognificent 💜 Molly is a sweet affectionate 5 year old who gives you a million head bumps a day and absolutely loves having her cheeks and chin stroked and scratched. She also loves a lap, but will need to build up to this as she gets to know you. She has white socks and a gorgeous little squeak when she talks to you. Her conversations are usually to ask for attention, play time or treats or food. She will devour a a sachet of Gravy Lovers like you've never seen. She's mad for chasing string so easy to entertain. She's used to exploring outside so will need a garden away frombusy roads. She tends to sleep during the day like most cats and her lovely belly is a trap - accept her invite to stroke it and she can bunny kick for England!! Only able to live with older children (10+) who can play with her, but also understand and respect her boundaries. She's an absolute beauty with lots of love and affection to give and will make you laugh with her daft playing. She's never lived with other cats so needs to remain an only puss. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Superstar

,
Sorry could this text be used for Star instead of previous one as he's actually fine with other cats, thanks
Super Star 💜
"Very loving boy looking for a home with lots of cuddles and play time!
Star is the most person-oriented cat I know. He loves to lie on your chest or lap and purr loudly while getting chin rubs before falling asleep for as long as you let him. As a young boy (just over 1), he has equal energy for play time and loves chasing string and zooming around the house for no apparent reason! He does occasionally get over eager in his demands for attention and has been known to nip so would probably suit a home with older children. He adores looking out the window atop his cat tower, and has started to show an increased interest in going outside so needs a garden away from busy roads. He’s a fierce indoor hunter however, so may bring back presents...
He's not bothered by other cats at all - he's a live and let live kinda guy so could be homed with others."
Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.

Tink

,
Tiny Tink 💜 "Oh my god we have fallen in love with Tink and whoever adopts her is so lucky to have this precious little cat in their life. Tink is around 9 months old and is sweet, intelligent, and playful; our current favourite game is playing fetch with scrunched up paper. Tink is the perfect balance between being independent and liking human company. She likes affection but knows how to communicate her boundaries; sometimes preferring to just sit in our company rather than being the centre of attention. Tink loves to check in on everyone in the house, chirping like a bird when she's excited to see us. She is very curious and likes meeting new people. Living with other cats could be an option as she can sometimes get bored and lonely on her own and seems to be intrigued and not aggressive towards other cats. This bewitching black cat would make a perfect familiar for people that need a fun presence in their life." Tink needs a garden away from busy roads and she'd be fine with children. Neutered , chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Tink did have a heart murmur detected and went to Langford for a heart scan but she was a little Madam and wouldn't keep still enough for them to do it 🙄 - however, when their cardiologist listened to her heart there was no sign of a murmur! Ra

Rural type home needed for Ra 💜 Ra was living on an air base in Saudi Arabia as a feral kitten, unloved and unwanted - that's him in the first pic as a tiny baby. He was going to be put to sleep so a kind couple rescued him - they weren't quite sure what was going to happen but they just knew they couldn't let him die. They paid for his transport to the UK but, as they live on a busy road, they've had to keep him as an indoor cat and he's not at all happy about that. Plus he hates their dogs and their busy household with grandchildren visiting. So we need someone to take up the baton on Ra's journey now - his owners just want him to be happy. He'd love a rural location where he can roam safely as he has no idea about traffic and a quieter adult-only home with no other pets. He does like his home comforts especially snuggling on the settee with his teddy bear! Can we find him his happy ending? 4yrs old, neutered, chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Currently in Newport with his owners. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Rosie

Another retirement home needed for a sweet older lady 💜
Rosie at 14 yrs is a senior lovebug with a gorgeous temperament. She was a little nervous when she arrived at her foster home but, after a couple of hours hiding, she found her feet and soon claimed her rightful place on the bed. She loves her food and is still a little tubby, but has leaned up a little since being on a moderate and consistent diet. Rosie can be a bit nervous around loud noises and new people but quickly finds her confidence again, and will soon be jumping up on the sofa for head strokes and to snuggle against your legs. She hasn’t yet tried a lap but really enjoys being around people. Although Rosie is a little tottery due to some arthritis in her hips, she is on medication for this (Meloxaid - painkiller and anti inflammatory) which is very easy to administer in to her food and which BWCR can fund, if necessary.
However, she still gets the zoomies and will race up and down the house when the mood takes her! Generally however, she is content to lie in a sunny patch of the house and gently chirp at you as you walk by. Rosie has previously had access to a garden which she loved. She would be ideally suited to a calm, quiet household with an older person without dogs, cats or children and a safe garden to potter in. We discovered today that she is definitely not a fan of the vet!
Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Millie

,
Madam Millie is looking for an indoor home 💜
When Millie was surrendered to us it was obvious she had a few medical issues which had been left untreated :(
She's 14 and looking to spend her golden years loved and spoiled with someone happy to give her meds twice a day (paid for by BWCR!)
Millie is a little sweetheart who came from a home with 2 other cats and is now loving being the Queen of the house. She likes ruling over her kingdom sitting on her favourite throne - a warm comfy lap.
She is very talkative: greets me after work every day when coming down the stairs "asking" how my day was, likes reminding me when I'm late to feed her, and follows me around asking for fuss, which she can't get enough of. She doesn't really want to play with any toys - she much prefers getting scritches.
She does need to be the only cat in the house - she really dislikes it when the neighbourhood cats show up in the back garden! She'd also want to be away from young children as she doesn't like to be fussed around her rear end due to arthritis. She loves a sunny windowsill and has no interest in going outside at all even when presented with an open door.
She has an old scar on one eye which makes her look very cutely cross-eyed and is on Metacam daily for arthritis (it goes on her food). She's also hyperthyroid and just needs a squirt of Thyronorm in her mouth twice daily. BWCR will cover the costs of her meds and regular check ups at Fernlea vets in Kingswood and Hanham.
We just want to get her in her own home with someone who will cherish her.
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Baubel, Tinsel and Glitter

,
Bauble and Tinsel are siblings whilst little tabby Glitter was a single, shy girlie who badly needed some friends. She's still timid but loves to play and snuggle up with her new besties so we want to keep them all together. Bauble is a big character, he's funny, cheeky and very loving, cuddly and playful. He purrs as soon as you stroke him and loves to be held. Tinsel is a gentle and loving cat. She loves to play, and cuddle up on the sofa. Like Bauble, she likes to be held and is a big purrer. Glitter is much shyer and will need more time to settle but once she warms to you, she's very friendly, purrs and snuggles up to you. She's scared of loud noises so they'll need a quieter home with no young children and they'd love a garden away from busy roads as they're desperate to go outside. They all have a healthy appetite and come running when it's time for food. They're very close, grooming each other and sleep tangled up! Tinsel was born with mild Swimmers syndrome where her legs splayed outwards but she's had physio and she's now fine - it definitely doesn't affect her mobility! She also has an undershot lower jaw - this needs keeping an eye on as an adult to check her lower teeth don't irritate/pierce her upper jaw. She may need extractions if they do and BWCR will fund this at one of our vets. About 5 months old, they've all been vaccinated and will be neutered and chipped soon, plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Bella

,
Is anyone up for a feisty floofylicious lady? Bella is 11 in July and came into us when her owners had to move and couldn’t take her with them. She is super floofy and had some mats which needed to be shaved off so will need a regular grooming routine to make sure it doesn’t get to that stage again. Bella is quite the diva, likes fuss on her terms and tends to swear and cuss a lot, like she is having a grumble under her breath! She definitely seems to like some people more than others so if you pass the test you will get sweet purry Bella rather than grumpy Bella! I have other cats here and she hates them, even though they never meet, so I suspect I'm the butt of some redirected grumpiness - she was sweetness purrsonified at the vet so I'm trying to not take it too personally 🤣 She can take a swipe so wouldn’t be suitable for a home with children but it’s usually easy to spot when she wants to be left alone so cat savvy adults will be fine. Bella really loves to play and will chase a ribbon on a stick, jumping high in the air, for as long as you can wave it about. She definitely needs to be an only pet and she'd love a garden for sunbathing when the mood takes her - she spends most of her day asleep on the settee. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated, had a dental plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Jack and Salem

Need help with the decorating?! 💜💜
"Jack and Salem are like yin and yang. Jack is a huge white floof ball and is generally pretty chilled and spends as much time as he can cuddled up next to me in bed. Salem is a sleek jet black tinker, jumping up wherever he can (including on my shoulders) and finding new ways to open all the cupboards and see where I've moved the food so he can get his cheeky paws on it! Salem does also really like a good cuddle though and will come and snuggle up on the sofa. They are 2 years old so very playful and like to play together, taking it in turns to chase each other and on occasions can even be found cuddled up next to each other having a little groom so they definitely would like to stay together.
The vet remarked on how happy and chill they both are and everyone who meets them says aren't they such lovely cats! They settled in so quickly to foster, I'm going to miss them so much! Although Jack does like to boop me on the nose at 6am and my alarm doesn't go off until 7am so I might not miss that!
They came from a busy house that they found a bit overwhelming and over the past 6 weeks have got far less jumpy at sudden noises in my house with just me. They would definitely prefer a quieter household with no young children or other pets.
Jack in particular does give affectionate nips when he is having tummy tickles, generally he just holds your hand in his mouth but would make him less suitable for younger children.
Until now they have been indoors cats but both have definitely expressed an interest in going outside and have to be shooed back from the door to stop them having an explore so they would really enjoy a garden away from busy roads.
If you are looking for beautiful, affectionate cats with incredible personalities these two brothers are for you!"
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Obi wan

Obi Wan is a gorgeous mature boy who unfortunately had to be surrendered due to his parents' relocation abroad. This white pawed tabby has an adorable wonky ear and comes with a built-in disapproving look on his cute face. He is a bit vocal when it comes to food, an intensive purrer when petted and a sweet/discreet alarm clock in the mornings. Obi is not a lap cat but enjoys sitting on the sofa next to you when you watch TV, will chill by your chair if you work from home and sleep under your bed when you are around- of course all doors must be kept open! He is not a massive player but will occasionally attack his favourite catnip-stuffed mouse toy. This boy prefers wet food, but will never turn down small dry treats and crunchies. He would enjoy a garden away from busy roads, to explore when not sleeping and has lived happily with other cats. He would also do well with older children that respect his lifestyle. Obi is about 9 years old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated and has recently had a dental.
• Mickey and Sue

Mickey and Sue - these gorgeous twins need a home together 💜💜
This 3-year-old brother and sister have been a bit of a labour of love after a rough experience before fostering, but now they have come out of their shells they have bags of character!
Mickey originally hid himself in the tiniest spaces to avoid me, but after a few weeks has turned out to be confident, friendly and playful. He likes to leap in the air to catch a feather toy on a string, but once he's used up his energy he'll jump on you for treats and strokes. He wakes me up by pawing my face when he wants breakfast, and makes a funny squeaky noise (maybe he's named after Mickey Mouse?!). Be careful to stop him eating Sue's food too though!
Sue is a feisty little one who took a lot longer to warm up, initially hissing at me from the top of a wardrobe. Her tails wags more than any cat I've ever met. Sue can still be a bit anxious but now gets jealous if Mickey is the centre of attention, and will even bat him out of the way to get some cuddles, head butting your hand until you stroke her. Sue is the smart one, she normally works out where the treats are before her brother.
To prevent them bickering you need to make sure they get equal amounts of head scratches and lots of playtime, so I think they would suit a home with more people who are around enough to entertain them. Mickey can forget not to use his claws sometimes when desperate for treats, so probably not suitable around young children. They've not been outside before, but are definitely interested in the big outdoors and keen to experience it, so a quiet garden well away from busy roads would work well. (And possibly some harness training before they go roaming free!).
I'm really proud of the progress these two have made and I'll miss their mischievous faces a lot when they get adopted.
Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
• Tabitha

Tabitha is another little puss looking for a retirement home 💜 She's a homely puss who likes a stroll in the garden but doesn't go far. She much prefers her home comforts and the company of her humans - unfortunately they're both now working long hours and Tabitha is feeling lonely. She'd love someone home a bit more for cuddles and fuss and a chat about her day! She's used to being the only pet , in a quiet home and now she's 12 she'd like it to stay that way please :) Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Tabitha is still with her owner to save her the stress of a move into foster. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Missy

Missy momma cat looking for some spoiling 💜
When Missy arrived as a stray from Wales we had no idea she was carrying some precious cargo - 3 kittens later, she's so over being a milk bar and just wants a lovely home of her own.
"She came to us quite shy and spent a few days hiding behind the sofa, but then settled in quickly. She absolutely craves attention, loves face scratches (especially under the chin) and being brushed is her favourite thing! She was definitely more relaxed before the kittens arrived, and now I think she is just desperate for a quiet life again, and to be the one getting all the attention! She is a great work from home companion, and loves to be near me/sprawled across my desk…she’s used to being outdoors, and is very keen to get back outside again so needs a garden, away from busy roads, to explore. She can be a talkative girl when she wants food or strokes!
She needs a peaceful home with no young children, and definitely needs to be the only cat."
About 2 yrs old and being vaccinated, neutered and chipped in about 2 weeks time plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
• A boy called Mimi

A boy called.. Mimi💜
Mimi is a superaffectionate puss who loves his humans and would be stroked/ brushed/ scratched/ tickled/ cuddled all day if he could. He was in an empty house for several weeks whilst his owner was hospitalised and he hated being alone and started overgrooming.
"Mimi is a confident boy who is happiest being sat on or near you. Enjoying his creature comforts, he's happiest curled up on a heated blanket or a lap and snoring!
We have described him to friends as "aggressively affectionate" as he will pester for ear scratches and chin tickles, sometimes forgetting his manners and using his claws to keep you stroking him!
He loves his food, mostly ignoring dry food for wet, uses his box well and is keen to go outside though we doubt he'd go far. He would prefer a home where people are around most of the time and can give him lots of attention."
He's always been an only puss so would like to stay that way and older children would be fine - they just need to aware of his overenthusiastic attempts to make your hand keep petting him.
About 12 yrs old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated, had a dental plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
