  • Scrumpy

Scrumpy  - if that isn't short for scrumptious then it should be 💜
Scrumpy is a handsome 11 year old who is very young at heart - he gets the zoomies late at night and loves chasing paper balls. He's incredibly sweet natured and purrs as soon as I walk into the room or pick him up, and has taken to sleeping on the end of my bed like a guard cat.
He's recently had dental work and blood tests and the vet said he's is great shape for his age. He does have a flea allergy so needs monthly vet-prescribed flea treatments. Although he's sleek and slim, Scrumps loves his food and has a healthy appetite. A slow feeder or "licky mat" is a good idea to stop him eating too quickly!
He needs to be the only pet with no young children though older ones should be fine.
He was found by his original owner as a kitten living stray in the countryside and he often spends time on the windowsill looking out. He would clearly love to bound around outdoors so a garden away from busy roads would be his dream.
Anyone who gives a home to this gorgeous affectionate boy will be lucky to have him.
Neutered, chipped,  vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Rocky

Rocky is an 11 year old gentle giant weighing 7 kg with a huge fluffy, smoky grey coat. His favourite place to chill is in an empty bath, with the occasional drink from the tap. He is a quiet cat who seems content with his own company or sitting in the kitchen watching the family’s coming and going. He is not a lap cat but likes a chin tickle and belly rub on his terms, and enjoys the occasional hug. He does not scratch or bite and needs a quieter household, with no young children or other pets, to gain his confidence. He came to the charity with early renal failure but our vets have confirmed that all his bloods have come back normal so it seems that his special diet of renal cat food is working :) and he needs to remain on a renal diet for the rest of his life. He also has a luxating patella ie a dislocating kneecap but his knee does not prevent him from jumping and leading a normal 11 year old cat life, the vet reported that no intervention was needed at this point. A neighbourhood with fewer cats and a safe outdoor space away from busy roads would suit Rocky. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. BWCR will cover the cost of his renal blood tests at Fernlea vets plus treatment on his knee if it's ever required. It's doubtful he'll ever need an op but he may be more susceptible to arthritis in that joint now he's an older boy. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue?
