Sherlock

Indoor home needed for Sherlock 💜

Poor Sherlock has had a rough time on the streets and is looking forward to a cosy retirement. He’s only about 7 but is already FIV positive and been shot with an air rifle – plus the indignity of a lion cut as he was so matted when he arrived!
His foster mum says he’s a lovable rogue and was very scared and frightened to begin with  but after three months in foster he’s starting to trust again. He loves being stroked but can get over stimulated as he’s not used to it and can bat you with his paw. We think he’s probably been kicked too as he’s wary of legs and can give them a whack too if he gets agitated.
He loves catnip, looking out the window, food and treats, not necessarily in that order!
He enjoys beating up his scratch post and will even chase a ball now.

He needs to go to an experienced cat home who can continue working with him and helping him relax. He’s fine with other cats and will run up to them excitedly, chirping his little head off so a chilled playmate would be good if there’s another FIV puss needing a friend. We don’t know if he might bite another puss in play so best not with any non-FIV cats.
He likes to sleep in his carrier as he feels safe there and is slowly building up his confidence-he’s going to be a lovely boy when he gets there 🙂

Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination. Had a dental and air gun pellet removed. Comes with 5 weeks free insurance and BWCR can cover any FIV-related costs at Fernlea vets in Hanham/Kingswood if necessary.
