Stripey

Any tabby lovers out there? 💜 Stripey is a handsome Tabby Bengal mix, approx 13 years old. He came into foster after his elderly owner went into hospital and has been with us for 6 months now. He was extremely anxious when he first arrived but has now become much more social and confident. He would thrive in a quiet home with perhaps an older person or couple with no children or other pets. He's used to being the centre of someone's world but he's not needy - he's quite happy to entertain himself if you're not home. He's a sweet, gentle, loving boy and adores a chin scritch - his most favourite thing. He's not a lap cat but loves to snuggle next to you on the settee or bed, just make sure you always have one hand free for those chin tickles though! Lastly, he would love a garden away from busy roads as he's used to going out. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. • Ra

Rural type home needed for Ra 💜 Ra was living on an air base in Saudi Arabia as a feral kitten, unloved and unwanted - that's him in the first pic as a tiny baby. He was going to be put to sleep so a kind couple rescued him - they weren't quite sure what was going to happen but they just knew they couldn't let him die. They paid for his transport to the UK but, as they live on a busy road, they've had to keep him as an indoor cat and he's not at all happy about that. Plus he hates their dogs and their busy household with grandchildren visiting. So we need someone to take up the baton on Ra's journey now - his owners just want him to be happy. He'd love a rural location where he can roam safely as he has no idea about traffic and a quieter adult-only home with no other pets. He does like his home comforts especially snuggling on the settee with his teddy bear! Can we find him his happy ending? 4yrs old, neutered, chipped plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Currently in Newport with his owners. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Tabitha

Tabitha is another little puss looking for a retirement home 💜 She's a homely puss who likes a stroll in the garden but doesn't go far. She much prefers her home comforts and the company of her humans - unfortunately they're both now working long hours and Tabitha is feeling lonely. She'd love someone home a bit more for cuddles and fuss and a chat about her day! She's used to being the only pet , in a quiet home and now she's 12 she'd like it to stay that way please :) Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Tabitha is still with her owner to save her the stress of a move into foster. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Pixie

Water baby looking for a new sink 💜 Well how do I describe Pixie - mad as a box of frogs probably covers it! . She is the one of the most beautiful cats I have ever met, about 18 months old. She loves her food but is a nibbler and tends to eat small amounts through the day. She is very friendly but also likes her own space and a sunny windowsill. She was stressed in her previous home with young children so needs a quieter home now with no other pets. She starved herself for 2 days when she first arrived but has since really come out of her shell. This cat is a true wonder of the world, she is a teenager of monumental proportions. She likes to bin dive and get on the side in the kitchen. She understands the word no but I often have to remove her from said bin and side. She has recently started playing properly. She absolutely loves the box I have got with holes in and spends ages getting the balls mice etc out and thoroughly trashes her room whilst playing. She loves a wool ball and charges all over the house, up and down the stairs etc chasing it to give it a good battering. She also loves catnip and hanging toys. She hunts through the bannisters and is an absolute devil on the stairs. - I wouldn't recommend her for those less agile! She also hunts toes, my 18 year old son is her plaything, the pair of them seem to be the same mental age, it's absolutely marvellous 🤣 She is totally unique and an absolute joy and has a particular fascination with taps and plugs. She loves to watch water coming out of the tap and then into the plughole ( it's magic you know, where does it come from and where does it go?) She is so determined that she barges into the bathroom in the morning, gets in the sink and cries for you to turn the tap on. She often puts her paw in the flow of water. She then spends a considerable amount of time examining the tap, plughole and the water, her nose goes right down the plughole. Honestly this is a new one on me but it's absolutely magic to watch. She looks at you in delight. In this house she gets a "clever girl" - we embrace the lunacy! She is a fabulous cat whose personality is really shining now she is truly settled. She is happy, friendly and fun. We will miss her but she is ready to go to a special home that will embrace her idiosyncrasies. Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Sid

Can't believe we haven't had a single enquiry for this gorgeous boy 💜
Silly Sid is a young at heart miniature panther; previously a stray, this gentleman has become accustomed to the home comforts which humans can offer.
Sid has had a hard life on the streets, and has had quite a few teeth removed – you’d never know, based on the way he eats his food though and the only sign is the way he does frequent tongue bleps - he'll be a star on "Tongue out Tuesdays"!
Although slightly older you’d never know based on the way he plays with his feather on a stick. He enjoys looking out the window and is keen to go outside again so needs a garden away from busy roads. He would suit a quieter home (no children or other pets) and whomever takes him must be prepared to have an extra colleague if they work from home – Sid currently cries beside me unless I set him up his own work station ( ie cardboard box but he likes to feel he's helping!) next to me whilst I work.
If you’re looking for a little shadow, silly Sid is your man!
About 11 yrs, neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.

• Meg & Max

Mum Meg and son Max 💜💜 This pretty pair are more lucky cats rescued from a life on the streets. They are shy but loving, very gentle natured and enjoy a fuss but like to approach you first. They are not overly happy being picked up so will need a patient household to help them progress and so are not suitable for very young children. Max loves his Mum and they are very close with Meg regularly still washing him though she puts him in his place from time to time too - once a mum, always a mum! They would do well settled in one room to begin with and with puppy pads/newspaper around the litter tray - Max had an upset tummy when he first arrived (all sorted now) and he associates the litter tray with discomfort. His once daily poop tends to be just outside the tray now and obviously won't be an issue once they start going outside. They'd love a garden away from busy roads and they're good with other cats. Meg is 3 yrs, Max is 2yrs and they're both neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue?
