  • Scrumpy

    ,
Scrumpy  - if that isn't short for scrumptious then it should be 💜
Scrumpy is a handsome 11 year old who is very young at heart - he gets the zoomies late at night and loves chasing paper balls. He's incredibly sweet natured and purrs as soon as I walk into the room or pick him up, and has taken to sleeping on the end of my bed like a guard cat.
He's recently had dental work and blood tests and the vet said he's is great shape for his age. He does have a flea allergy so needs monthly vet-prescribed flea treatments. Although he's sleek and slim, Scrumps loves his food and has a healthy appetite. A slow feeder or "licky mat" is a good idea to stop him eating too quickly!
He needs to be the only pet with no young children though older ones should be fine.
He was found by his original owner as a kitten living stray in the countryside and he often spends time on the windowsill looking out. He would clearly love to bound around outdoors so a garden away from busy roads would be his dream.
Anyone who gives a home to this gorgeous affectionate boy will be lucky to have him.
Neutered, chipped,  vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Rupert

Never let it be said we don't offer a wide variety of cats 😂
Next is Senor Rupert from Spain 💜
"He’s a very loving cat.  He likes nothing more than a snooze on your lap and loves all the attention you can give him.  He requires regular brushing and I have cut out the matted parts of fur he previously had.  Occasionally you will need to use some cooled boiled water to clean around his eyes as he sometimes misses his face when grooming and this will cause a build up of sleepies.
He doesn’t show much interest in wet food but will eat a good bowl of dry food every day.  He is very sedentary so would make a great pet for someone who may be older and wishes for company.  He has not scratched or bitten me or anyone else at all but he is spooked by loud noises so he needs a quieter adult-only home as the only pet.  He originated from Spain and  they performed a vasectomy so although he does still have his 'trouble nuggets' he is infertile!
He's used to going outside and lived in a rural area so needs a garden away from busy roads and someone prepared to groom him every day".
5 yrs old, neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Cece, Luna and Little Star

Cece and the kids are looking for a home together if anyone is up for a trio of cuteness? 💜
"Who will be lucky enough to adopt Cece (more white) and her charming children who are 6 months old?
They really are an adorable little family, Cece has brought them up well and is a wonderful role model. Cece is only 2 years old herself and, being a thoroughly modern mum, she likes to join in with some rough and tumble play time. But more often than not she likes to have an afternoon nap while they play or she sits and watches them. They are so sweet and they are all really gentle. Little Star (male) and Luna (tortie, female) are a bit fluffy which makes them even more cuddly; they enjoy being brushed but often think it's all a big game though Luna is more ladylike than Little Star, Little Star just thinks you're his personal climbing frame 😹"
Fine with older children and need a garden away from busy roads.
All neutered, chipped,  vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Jay

    ,
Jay is a 2 and half year old. She’s playful and is very happy to occupy herself chasing around a ball or a leaf. Sometimes, she’ll even bring a ball to you so you can throw it for her. She likes to explore and will happily curl up on a lap, and even let you stroke her belly. She’s well behaved with using her litter tray. Jay is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance
  • Spirit and Thunder

Best buddies looking for new digs together 💜
"This duo are best friends so have to go together! Spirit and Thunder. They sometimes nap together or groom each other and it melts our hearts. Spirit is the small black female, she's just over a year old and full of love. She likes to sleep on our beds and often sits on our laps looking for rubs and cuddles.
This cheeky madam also likes to steal Thunder’s food sometimes so we have two separate bowls!
Thunder is a handsome 3yr old tabby and is a cool customer. He shies away from attention a lot of the time and doesn’t like sudden movements, but will then surprise us by asking for love and smooches which makes it all the more rewarding. He'd like a quieter home with no young children. He’s forced us to keep their dry food bags and pouches in a box as he’s a great climber and has reached his food stash on the top shelf!.
When they first arrived they hid behind the couch for two days but have come fully out of their shells. They sometimes get the zoomies and chase each other around the house and would love a garden away from busy roads to explore. Spirit isn't a fan of cat baskets so a top opener would be good for her.
Neutered ,chipped,  vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
  • Rocky

Rocky is an 11 year old gentle giant weighing 7 kg with a huge fluffy, smoky grey coat. His favourite place to chill is in an empty bath, with the occasional drink from the tap. He is a quiet cat who seems content with his own company or sitting in the kitchen watching the family’s coming and going. He is not a lap cat but likes a chin tickle and belly rub on his terms, and enjoys the occasional hug. He does not scratch or bite and needs a quieter household, with no young children or other pets, to gain his confidence. He came to the charity with early renal failure but our vets have confirmed that all his bloods have come back normal so it seems that his special diet of renal cat food is working :) and he needs to remain on a renal diet for the rest of his life. He also has a luxating patella ie a dislocating kneecap but his knee does not prevent him from jumping and leading a normal 11 year old cat life, the vet reported that no intervention was needed at this point. A neighbourhood with fewer cats and a safe outdoor space away from busy roads would suit Rocky. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. BWCR will cover the cost of his renal blood tests at Fernlea vets plus treatment on his knee if it's ever required. It's doubtful he'll ever need an op but he may be more susceptible to arthritis in that joint now he's an older boy. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Beau

Special home needed for this very special boy 💜 This handsome chonk is Beau. He is about 8 years old and likely to be a British Blue. Beau was found as a very poorly stray and his finder spent a lot of time and money on getting him well but wasn’t in a position to be able to manage his health issues long term so he came into foster with us. Beau has a condition called triaditis which means he suffers from inflammation of his pancreas, liver and small intestine. It can be managed with a strict diet and after following the diet and some medication, all his tests have now come back normal. Beau is a lovely purry boy with lots of character and is always making his foster mum laugh with his antics. He will try to squeeze into the smallest cat bed he can find or flop down in the middle of the doorway to snooze. If he flops down in the corridor and you walk past him without giving him a stroke he will bat you for neglecting him. He does like to play although he is quite selective about the toys he likes and gets bored very quickly. Despite his size, Beau can be scared of noises or people/objects he isn’t familiar with – whilst being scared of the hoover is pretty standard, hissing at the mop bucket and running away is a new one on us. Beau will need a quieter home, teenage children should be fine but everyone in the household will need to understand that food cannot be left out anywhere Beau could eat it and that he can’t get out into an uncontrolled environment where he coukd beg or scave get food. The specialist food he eats will cost under £5 a week, he likes it and so long as he stays on it and his weight is maintained his condition should remain stable. He is a large cat and used to going outside so any future home would need a lot of space, ideally with a secure garden or catio to keep him occupied and provide him with exercise. He would need to be the only pet to manage his diet properly but as he seems to absolutely hate other cats that would suit him just fine! Neutered, chipped, had first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. As insurance won't cover his triaditis, BWCR will cover any costs relating to this at Fernlea vets in Kingswood or Hanham. We must stress he needs responsible owners who will keep him on his diet - no treats, no tidbits! Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Xena

Quiet stess-free home needed for our little warrior princess 💜 Xena is a very friendly, playful and adventurous1 year old long haired female. She's very people orientated and enjoys being smoothed and is getting used to laps and being picked up. She wouldn't suit very young children as she has had stress induced (ie non-epileptic) seizures when being handled so needs to be carefully monitored. These incidents have disappeared since Xena has been separated from her siblings and her confidence has greatly increased so she needs to be an only cat in a quiet household to keep her stress levels as low as possible . No treatment or tests have been carried out or are planned though any related treatment/costs would be covered by vets in East Bristol. The aim is for Xena to be able to go outside, rather than be an indoor only cat, but this would need to be very controlled so that any problems could be easily dealt with though none are anticipated due to the progress that she has made. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Bub

Bug needs an understanding home 💜 Bug was originally adopted from the RSPCA in March 2016, they thought he was about 8 months old and had been a stray - he's a big puss with a big personality. He is a constant tail wagger, most of the time he likes a head rub, or he will jump on the kitchen table then onto your shoulder if he wants a cuddle, he's pretty agile! He does get grumpy and will scratch or bite if you give him attention when he is not up for it so you need to read the signs and he needs an adult-only home with no other pets. So far, so typical but unfortunately some things changed during lockdown which really stressed him out and made him miserable: The neighbours got 2 new kittens and a strange cat also started appearing in the garden and they all came into the house at night, stealing his food, bullying him and spraying on his territory :( Then a new baby arrived and Bug started pulling his fur out with the stress of it all and hissing and spitting at himself to vent his frustration. Poor Bug just wants a quiet life like he had before, preferably with not many cats in the neighbourhood and definitely none that will steal his supper! He'd like a garden away from busy roads where he can rule the roost again. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? • Raul and Pablo

Meet Raul and Pablo, two lovely Bengal brothers who will just steal your heart 💜
They are 12 years old but still have plenty of that Bengal energy 'they love to be outdoors and need a garden away from any busy roads'.
Raul is a true loving cat, always happy to be the centre of attention and he thinks nothing is more important for you than giving him a good stroke. He will happily sit on your lap for hours purring like he is in heaven.
Pablo is a bit more shy and independent, but will also definitely lay next to you whilst you are in the sofa, looking at you with his big green eyes in a way that will just melt your heart. He is really playful and loves chasing you around the house, playing hide and seek with his multiple toys.
They are both perfect gentleman with impeccable manners,  incredibly well house trained, having caused absolutely no mess in the house despite it being a new environment for them. They're happy to nap throughout the day, which makes it ideal for slightly busier owners, as they are happy to be left alone if needed.
They need to be the only pets and have never lived with children so a quieter adult-only home would suit them best.
Neutered,  chipped,  vaccinated plus come with 5 weeks free insurance.
