Polly
Foster in BristolPolly is a pretty girl of about 6 years old. She was living rough but a lady started to feed her and gain her trust so she could be chip checked. Leaflets and knocking on doors could not find her owner so she came into foster. Polly loves a chat and a fuss and will get straight on foster mum’s lap to snooze. She does get reactive to too much fuss though and will need someone experienced with cats to understand her body language and series of meows, she has begun to improve in foster. She loves her cat nip ball and chasing a bit of string so play will really help her to bond with a new family. She is best in a child-free house with a garden to go out in once she is ready. She hates other cats so needs to be the only pampered princess in the home. Polly is vaccinated and chipped ys cone with 5 weeks free insurance. . We think she has been neutered as there have been no signs of kittens but we would fund her neutering at our vets if needed. Are you ready to adopt a cat from Bristol & Wales Cat Rescue? Foster in BristolBiggie is a lovely 11 year old tabby boy, who has been a joy to foster. His previous owner recently had a baby, which has caused Biggie to have stress cystitis and his previous owner has reluctantly made the decision to rehome him to find somewhere quieter where Biggie will be happier. Biggie settled in with us very easily and was keen for strokes and affection almost immediately. He now loves to sit on a lap and will purr away while having his belly stroked. He doesn't require too much entertainment and will happily lounge around for a long time, but also has enjoyed chasing a ball or just some string. Biggie has a prrscription diet of urinary food to reduce the risk of his condition returning, and a Feliway diffuser also for stress relief, which he will have to continue with his new owner. His previous owner has also donated Biggie’s supply of food, medication, Feliway and a cat carrier he is comfortable with using. He had one episode when he first came to us - just the stress of the move and has been fine ever since. Biggie would like a quiet house away from busy roads, with a garden to explore and someone who can give him lots of love and attention. He should not live with small children or other cats, which may increase the chance of his cystitis flaring up, but he is friendly with guests and new people. Requiring only a little extra care, Biggie will make an excellent companion for anyone looking for a friendly, loving cat. We'd like Biggie to go to someone who will stay in touch with us as we will cover any vet bills relating to his cystitis at Fernlea vets in Kingswood and Hanham and also help with the cost of his food if necessary. Neutered, chipped, vaccinated plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance (for everything except his cystitis!). Biggie is a lovely 11 year old tabby boy, who has been a joy to foster.
